RE: Have any of you met another forum member?
I’m not in time to see any of the Belgian shows, I go on 3rd September. To all my drinking acquaintances in Brugge, see you all soon and get the Sloebers in. I’m also off to Spa, but thankfully I won’t be there when the Grand Prix is on 🙂
RE: The Belgian connection
What a load of b******s you talk Geforce. How can a country which keeps prisoners in luxury, gives them early release and the opportunity to offend again and cares more about the rights of criminal scum than the rights of the victims be “civilised”???? I cannot politely express what should be done to the child murdering scum. My sympathies are solely with the families of Holly and Jessica, not the bastards who commit these crimes. It’s high time to reintroduce the rack and stretch the bastards to death. Also, the increasing number of criminals in the UK would be put to a more useful purpose in some of our vivisection laboratories, much better than inflicting suffering on animals (and more scientifically accurate).

RE: PlayStation 2
My first console was the Game Boy (a pocket see through one). I had a few decent games for it but the other games coming out now won’t work on it. The Game Boy did guzzle batteries though, they didn’t last. I think the GBA is handy for taking on holiday and things, maybe I’ll get one some day. I’m hoping to get my first computer some time when I’ve got a new flat but that will have to wait a while. (I’ve just got to have a go on one of the Flight Simulation games).

No not yet, but I’m having a drink with Sukhoi_Flanker from Oudenaarde when I go to Belgium in 19 days.

RE: Tristar Tribute.
Absolutely beautiful, I’ve added the topic to my bookmarks. I never flew on the TriStar, but from a photography point of view I’ve always admired the type, so elegant with a beautifully shaped nose. It is a shame they are now such a rare sight.
RE: Bad Flight?
My first and only flight with British Airways between Heathrow and New York was absolutely fearsome. This was my first flight on a Boeing 747 and at that time the aircraft flew across the Atlantic instead of over Iceland and Greenland. There was about four or five hours of severe turbulence and several passengers thought we would not make it to New York. I was only five but my Mum tells me about it often.
Another flight was a bit bouncy but not as scary. This was an Air New Zealand flight between LA and Sydney. We were flying at night and I kept seeing flashes of lightening in the distance but luckily we weren’t hit.
RE: My kind of car
You wanna see the inhabitants of my town. Formerly the pride of the Yorkshire coast, it is now a settling place for drug addicts and ex-cons who come here for the DSS hostels and to generally cause bother. Never mind, in 22 days I shall be flying out to the Pride of Europe (Brugge).

RE: PlayStation 2
Gran Turismo 3 is one of my favourites, I was part of my PS2 package so it was literally the first game I played. Ace Combat is good, the NHL series are fun and so is Silent Hill, I’ve completed Silent Hill 2 twice and I’m also playing Silent Hill. Shaun Palmer’s Pro Snowboarder and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 are also good fun.

RE: Pics Wanted
Thank you both, they are great photos. I never managed to photograph them myself. F-GFKE was parked away from the terminal at CDG so I never even saw it until we were too close to even attempt a photo, and we had to board pretty quick as it was already delayed from its previous flight and they wanted to make sure it kept its new slot. The view of F-GFKQ in Manchester was nose-on and wouldn’t have showed the aircraft to its advantages or which airline it belonged to.
I had two great flights on them as well, even the same pilot both ways.
RE: Europe’s Worst Airport?
Very interesting discussion. One reason I like LHR is probably because I’ve usually been blessed by good weather when I’ve been and I’ve got good footage (both photo and video) from the top of the Queen’s Building, though I’m not too keen on terminal 4. Last time I was there I ate in a “food village” in terminal 2 and had some really nice chicken with a good salad. I couldn’t take to CDG, but I was interested by Saab 2000’s post about terminal 1 at CDG being bad, I thought perhaps it was just terminal 2. I cannot comment on LPL as I’ve never been. I think when a passenger usually has to spend several hours in an airport the facilities should be good and I am all in favour of viewing areas, I cannot think they constitute a real danger to security.
