Thanks for the links bmi-star, I will check that out.
NCLRULES – my joystick is fine, I have no problem with other aircraft, and I check it regularly on the settings things to make sure it is working properly.
Great photos! I saw a Tartan ERJ145 at BHX on 30th March, and a Tartan Dash 8 in MAN on 8th June, as well as a Chelsea Rose Dash 8 in MAN.
I have overspeed problems with my Concorde, I wouldn’t have thought you would get a passenger aircraft which was any faster than that, but thanks for tips on how to deal with the problem.
I’ve got loads of freeware things, all to suit my various tastes, so it’s hard to pick a favourite.
I have the Ryanair Jaguar Boeing 737-200 and it flies like a dream, used for Stansted to Charleroi at the moment.
I have the Lord of the Rings Boeing 747-400 of Air New Zealand by Meljet, which took some tracking down.
I have a Belgian livery collection of 737-200s with several different Sabena, Sobelair and one TEA livery.
I have an An225.
I have the DH106 Comet (as opposed to the DH88 Comet which is on FS2004).
I have a wonderful CRJ of Air Nostrum, which can be a bit of a handful at times but is awesome to take off.
I have Fokker 50s of VLM and Air Nostrum.
I have a Dash 8 Q400.
I have a special livery MD80 which I will take a screenshot of because that is better than trying to describe it!
I have two beautiful SNBA aircraft – an A319 and a BAe 146.
I have an A310 of Lisbon Sun (new addition).
I have others which I have not mentioned but are all nice.
They are great photos, though I am not a fan of spiders I can appreciate the quality of your pictures. I will have to try something like that with my camera sometime.
Hehehe… i spent the day in Antwerp.
Very nice Arthur! I have visited Antwerp three times and never managed to get a nice photo of the market square – the weather has either been too bad or there has been something built on the square. I always remember having my first ever Ename in Antwerp 😀
Will be back in Belgium in a couple of weeks, but mising out Antwerp in favour of new places like Tournai, Dinant, Namur and spotting in Oostende and Kortenberg!
And all those beers – would give that bear one hell of a sore head haha 😀
Was it Hofmeister (sorry bad joke but they used a guy dressed as a bear in their advertising with the slogan “for great lager, follow the bear!”) 😀
Just enjoyed a nice Duvel myself!
Sorry if I sounded selfish with my post, I am just such a big fan of the Antonov (and also the Ilyushin) heavies, I would hate to see any of them unable to fly and making losses. I was just hoping for a chance to get a photo of one of my favourite aircraft.
The An124 and An225 are very high on my list to photograph sometime.
Be very, very careful spotting in Greece! Do you remember the plane spotters who had permission to visit airfields in Greece, but were still arrested and thrown in jail for taking photos of the aircraft. It’s not worth the risk.
They are absolutely gorgeous photos! I love BHX and cannot wait to go back in November.
Nice to see City Airline again, I bagged them for the first time back in March. I cannot pick out a favourite because they are all brilliant!
I’m off to MAN to go on holiday in 15 days, I hope there is some interesting Soviet-built equipment there when I go as I’ve never managed to photograph any yet and I’ve just bought loads of memory cards so I want to fill them with something as well as the most delightful country in Europe 😀
I’d already seen this on another piece of sh*t aviation forum (not the one mentioned in the link above I hasten to add!)
As I am a big fan of that particular aircraft, I can only say that I hope it is still in BRU on 6th September and that I can see it again. It is a superb aircraft and I have seen it twice before in MAN.
As someone who lives in a seaside holiday town, I can say that those inflatable dinghies should be banned. The only people who buy them are idiots who come from inland with the “won’t happen to me mentality”. Do they stop to think that lifeboat crews risk their safety, all without being paid a penny in wages, for idiots such as them?
If people want to take a trip on the sea, there are boat rides at all seaside resorts and they are organised and run by people who know what they are doing, know the currents and the local tide conditions, and are doing it to make a living.
When at the coast – stay safe, if you want to go in a boat, trust the people who know what they are doing, who know the area and throw the inflatable dinghies on the scrapheap where they belong.
Yes, I have been, two loooooong years.
That’s nothing! I left school aged 18 in 1988. Because of my age, employers refused to train me because they were only into training 16-17 year olds! Because of that mentality I was unable to get a job until 1994 – a temporary job for a couple of months! Then I was unemployed again until 1996, when I got another temporary job for a couple of months! Then I did a training placement in the local hospital, at which time the New Deal for under 25s was introduced, so i was sacked because of my bloody age and replaced with a bimbo! In 1999 until 2002 I went to university because I thought that getting a degree might help me to get a job – it didn’t! Local employers (and indeed employers everywhere) are still too bigoted and stupid to train anyone over the age of 25 😡
A few months ago i read that the legalised discrimination known as the Modern Apprenticeship (yes, its for under 25s!) would have its upper age limit scrapped! Brilliant, I thought, maybe this is my chance to get a proper job instead of a temporary thing, but employers will still only get funding for training under 25s, so it is a bloody big waste of time.
And it really p*sses me off when everyone who is unemployed is labelled as “work shy layabouts”. It is not me who is “work shy” it is bloody British employers who are “training shy” for people over 25!
The management of VLM (do not know their names) because that is one hell of a well-run carrier.
Stelios from EasyJet seemed to be a good airline boss.
SNBA are getting it together.
