    Thanks for comments 😀

SteveYoung – I don’t like the Brussels departure lounge very much, I am much happier in the arrivals hall at BRU. Very, very, very (times a thousand!) lucky you for working in Belgium, what would I give to get a job and move over there? I like SNBA, there are some great crews on there (especially if you get a steward called Carlos!)

I don’t post my photo because I don’t have any nice recent ones, the last one of me was taken on an SNBA aircraft by a steward called Carlos, and that was months ago. I didn’t have any taken in September.

Also for fans of Belgian beer, don’t restrict yourself to Leffe whilst you are there, you can try hundreds of the beauties! Sloeber is my own favourite.

The tub of vegetables was not too bad, and more tasteful than some Brussels Bistros.

    Thanks for the comments!

No, I don’t have any photos of the SNBA A333, the best time to see that aircraft is in the morning and these were taken mid-afternoon. I have only seen one of the larger Airbuses and that was in March. I will be back in November so I will see if I can get a photo of one then.

Danairboy – sorry I don’t know where the Futura was heading, I just know that the MK DC8 was going to NCL.

Airline owner – that was my first MK Airlines 747, I was pleased to get it because the 747 is my favourite to photograph.

Thanks for the comments. That was the first DC8 I had seen since 1995, when I saw one in Sydney. Before that I had seen them often in Iceland before Icelandair sold them from the fleet.

Thanks for all the comments 😀 I too was pleased with the photos, the weather was just ideal, though the video was not as good because of the sun and the difficulty of filming through the windows with a Sharp Viewcam!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Wysiwyg – I have been away on holiday, hence the absence (and the photos). Got back home last night, and then off again in November, that is from BHX. 😀

I would never describe the militant scum as “animals” because that is an insult to the animal kindgom, who, after all, are far more noble than such scum. My dog is an animal, and I would like to think that the health of my dog, and the welfare of my dog, was more important than the health and welfare of such scum. Even bacteria, viruses and mould spores have more rights and deserve more respect than those militant scum.

AirPower, I agree with your earlier comment, what a pity it was censored, but that always happens when people speak the unpalatable truth in this country. The only “people” in Britain who, apprarently, have the right to “freedom of speech” are those who preach “jihad” against the West and praise the 9/11 hijackers as “heroes” and “martyrs”. You say anything against thses individuals are you are labelled a “racist” “fascist” “nazi” and other offensive things. You can moderate this all you like, but you canot deny that what I am saying here is the TRUTH!

I had a Belgian Shepherd once, we had to get rid of it because it had a serious temperament defect (known as rage syndrome) where the dog will suddenly attack with no warning. It used to squeeze itself into dark corners and just sit there growling at nothing. There are some irresponsible breeders of this type here in the UK. I can only suggest to anyone on here who may want one of these dogs, do not buy one from a British breeder.

Good point Hand 😀 But I am no fan of Swiss chocolate, ever since Nestle took over Rowntrees in York they had to interfere with the established types of chocolate to make them more “Swiss”, so now we have Smarties which are tasteless to name an example.

And Belgian chocolates are a work of art! The chocolate shops always have beautiful window displays and they certainly know how to present them to their best ability. Okay, so some is done for the tourists, like in Brugge, but it doesn’t stop them being artistic. I once saw a nice chocolate shaped like a Duvel bottle with the label on in different coloured sweets.

I have Affligem, Grimbergen, Leffe (3 types), Chimay (2 types) and some other stuff. That’ll stay at home. i’ll get a fourpack of Tesco Value Bitter. That’s great stuff.

It is both their blessing and their curse that they do not know. But I know, I have always known.

    (Not Blade runner)

Bloody hell is that the best you can do?! There are actually five types of Leffe (Blonde, Brune, Radieuse, Tripel and Vieille Cuvee!) and three types of Chimay (not counting those in the big bottles which are just rebottlings of the others) – Red (7%), White top (8%) and Blue (9%). There are at least two Grimbergens, more than one Affligem.

You should see the beauties we have in our cupboard after a day trip to Brussels – all the Rocheforts (6, 8 and 10), Ciney (Blond last time), Ename (Tripel last time), Brugs, Piraat, Hapkin, Jan van Gent, De Koninck to name a few.

And on Saturday I am drinking the undisputed God of Beers, the one and only Sloeber brewed in a town called Mater, near Oudenaarde, by the Roman brewery. That beats the crap out of the cheap water you get in the supermarkets here!

I wouldn’t even mention Swiss “chocolate” in the same sentence as a certain other country’s superior product! So I will say that Belgian chocolate is the best in the WORLD!!! As my Mum says, Swiss “chocolate” is akin to eating candle fat (ie tasteless and who the hell would want to eat candlefat, like who in their right mind would eat Swiss “chocolate”!)

And some people will never forget the damage done by bloody Swissair, so why the hell should we buy their products??!!?

And in five days I can eat all the Belgian chocolate I want!!!

Air New Zealand – friendly and efficient cabin staff in economy? Hahaha, don’t make me laugh. I have had loads of flights with them, and only had one crew which I could desrcibe as friendly. So bad is not a one off with them, but good is! I’m still waiting for them to answer a call button which I pressed back in April 1998 – yes, that’s how friendly and efficient they are! They ignored all call buttons on that flight.

The best are VLM and SNBA, on my flight from BHX-BRU back in March I encountered the best airline steward I have ever come across on any airline, and that was with SNBA.

But of course the best airline ever for in flight service does not exist any more.

This incident was a few days ago, so I cannot remember if any auto failures were active, but I do remember that the aircraft had been flying perfectly with a constant height and maintaining a constant speed. I first noticed something was wrong when the sun suddenly hurtled past the window in a downwards direction, when I switched to “spot” view the aircraft was tail down and became completely unresponsive. I thought about asking on here after I had seen the question about overspeed problems, that is why I left it a few days. I haven’t flown that aircraft since, but others in my collection are all performing properly. The CRJ I have is a handful, but that is because it is extremely sensitive to the joystick and only needs the slightest movements to fly it.
