This is the reason I love to visit Oudenaarde!!
And this SN Brussels Avro RJ.
After the Royal Jordanian aircraft, we moved to a different bit, closer to the runway end.
That’s where my mum took this Aer Lingus BAe 146.
My Mum took this photo of a Royal Jordanian Airbus, from the same place.
Spotting near the end of the Brussels Airport runway. I took this photo of an SN Brussels Airlines A319 as it approached.
The VLM in-flight snack. It consisted of: a sesame bun with cheese, a flaky pastry thing with chocolate chips, a square of chocolate and I had orange to drink. On the return flight it was another cheese sandwich, a fresh fruit salad and a can of Maes beer.
(If my Belgian friends from a certain other forum are viewing this, I apologise for the poor quality of the photo!!)
Through the clouds came my first view (in 2003) of my beloved Belgium!!
Heading for Belgium, the runway of London City Airport is visible in the middle of the photo.
Another after take off shot.
Taken just after take off from London City.
Later on, OO-VLV “States of Guernsey” arrived and taxied to departure gate 5. This was operating my flight (VG104) to Antwerp. It had nice leather seats inside. I was sat in seat 12A, one row from the back.
This is OO-VLM, a Fokker 50 of VLM Airlines, painted in a special livery. It had landed at 10.30 on 1st September, and I thought it would be operating my flight to Antwerp, so I kept my fingers crossed that it was not my aircraft, as I sat near departure gate 1!!
On a Sabena flight safety demonstration
“watch out for the sharks when we crash into the sea”.
This steward was a gem at stand up comedy, and a friend on another forum tells me he now works for SN Brussels Airlines.
I think Softlad just about sums it up.
I was once flying between LHR and LAX on Air New Zealand and the Captain gave a brilliant commentary as we flew over Greenland, all about the mountains, how high they were etc.
When I was flying with Finnair between LHR and HEL the Captain announced when we flew over Denmark and I managed to get a good photo of Denmark, as it was the only point in the flight with clear weather.
Los Angeles, had several holidays there, great fun, good weather, good food, friendly people.
Sydney – same as LA
New Zealand – superb scenery.
