it is still unclear if the Mig-29K for the indian navy will be 100% new airframes or just upgraded 9-12 or 9-13 or 9-17, or whatever, :confused:
to me it seems they will be new but nothing’s clear at all.

the word on the neighbourhood is that the K’s are nothing but navalized SMT’s (9-17) converted to K (9-47?), it seems confusing, because we are talking about new airframes and not old 9-12 nor 9-13 airframes.
or is it just the fact that it will not be aluminium – lithium alloy?

i agree with you, i just wish i had the money to upgrade FAP’s M2k’s to -5 ( or perhaps -9?) and stockpile averything from A to Z, from MICAS to RDY-2 and whatever can wear and tear from nose to tail, not to get surprised again. 😉

i’ve got it my hamburger brother, its no new colours on flex pics, is just the light at the camera that makes the paint on 047 look diferent (the 2 seatter) here goes another pic of 047.

they were always two tone like the one SAPITO shared with us 1 or 2 pages berore, and the red and white on the tail, only clear pictures are very rare, thats all. or if it did…i didnt notice.
