well i think Python-5 is still being developed, aint it?

but then again, the other guy has also off-boresight, awesome maneouvrability and had also fired its R-73 (sure its not on the video) but in real life we know, so…it still looks to me that both the oponents will “buy the farm” …man modern air combat its getting too complicated to me.
somebody said, combat aircraft developement, should have stopped at the F-86 / Mig-15…i agree :rolleyes:

another, the combination DASH/Python-4, i’ve heard that is lethal, but shouldnt the russians have come up with an equivalent system? such as …”DASH-ky/R-73x”? i mean upgraded and not the old 80’s system?
sure i hope :confused:

the link is good and pretty informative.
now comparing, it doesnt seem to be superior to the amraam nor the R-77, ain’t it?, its still a formidable weapon but seems to be just a complement for the Python-4 with slightly longer range and still no mention of any datalink fpr mid-course update.
wouldnt like it comming towards me anyway 😀

about the yakhont, yes i’ve just found out that it can be fired from the Mig-29 (x2), 3 from the Su-27 (and derivatives) and 8 from the Tu-142.
its an awesome weapon it seems.
also the Ks-172 only speaks from Sukhoi platform, but i wander if the Mig-29 could also with the proper upgrade, do the same.

now why is it being shown with the SMT plenums?, does it mean that it can also be fired from the SMT? 😮

ja. is correct, also koxinga, its ex royal nederlands “de zeven provincien”.
captured by the germans in 1940 while still in construction, they’ve (the germans) finished the job.
aquired by the Peruvian navy from holland in March 1973 and named BAP (Buque Armada Peruana) Almirante Grau.
the Otomat missile launchers (8) were added in 1992 and is now a light missile cruiser, its sister ship, BAP.Aguirre was decomisioned in march 19 1999, the diference being Aguirre was an helicopter carrier cruiser.

on the next pic…is the KS-172 that “humongus thing” (sorry ’bout my spelling 😀 ) on the left of the R-77? (left of the pic)
and by the way, seems that can be also fired from the SMT?

there it goes, the Y-12 on FAP’s service with Grupo-42, right at the Peruvian jungle.
by the way…that Y-8? (from the An-12) with PW engines, man!!! i’d love to fly it, how much did you say it costs?, i want 1 😀
