i’ve heard about too, havent seen any official ANYTHING, but it seems that the IDF/AF advantage was the new off-boresight/HMS system on their F-16’s they’sent to the exercise, with caught everyone by surprise 😮 against the old 80’s era system on the luftwaffe’s Mig-29.
i’ve heard somwhere that “just the pilot helmet” has a 250,000 dollars price tag 😮 , did i heard right?
so it didnt matter how quick the Mig was on the F-16’s tail, it was too late.
man, where is all this tech going?

lets not get confused, i saw many people confusing wildly the TBO with “the end of its life”, it just doesnt make sense to store a/c nearing the “end of its life” you just fly the hell out of it and then scrap them, the only a/c that you put on storage are those nearing the TBO when you dont wanna put more money to it, hoping someone as fool as you will buy it… 😀
and as for women…
yes i agree, whatever the taste, they all look good to me, (like “Don Giovanni” 😎 ) i’d do them all. 😉

Planned Peruvian upgrades

in june’s edition (AFM) is mentioned that rosoboronexport in association with Mil helicopters are undertaking negociations with the Peruvian government to upgrade around 40 helos (Mi-8/17/24 & 26) about 20An-32, but priority is being given to the combat fleet, such as Fulcrums, Fitters and Frogfoots and just precise details had to be finalised, several options are on the table and the amount of “financing” will be the determining factor.
well it seems that the deal is on short final, lets wait and see… 😉

yes A-29 i’ve seen it, nice smooth loop over the Arequipa desert 😎

that’s bad news, i was really hoping (as many people did) that FAP will send the Migs to cruzex, but anyway , i’m sure they’ll put up a good show, also, i’d love to see the results from those exercises, its gotta be HOT!!! 😎

wolf, have a look at this thread (above), after that, i’d like your opinion.
another point, the f-16 fach, is only on paper as well, “is only on your mind” :p , nice “computer generated” image of the f-16 fach, by the way, and another, chile has 1 phalcon system, while Brasil has…4 already? and i believe a few more comming? (A-29 please correct me if i’m wrong 🙂 ) and another, fach only has 3 f-5 derby capable (to date), and last but not least, FAB has chosen already twice the Su-30 (o 35?) and its the politicians the ones making the whole thing last longer than a snake’s fart, so FAB is not unhappy with that machine on the contrary that’s what FAB wants. 😉

hello srbin.
i think firing the R-77 from the Su-39 its kinda waiste a bit, because of the short range of the aircraft’s own radar, you could fire it up to 100 kms with the proper one, anyway, 57kms aint so bad, and the possibility of a kill improves at that distance 😉 but if you send them alone (without escort) it could give a surprise to the enemy trying to intercept him 😮 (what was that???)
the derby you can fire at 60kms, so at that speed aint much difference.
so, yes, its an awesome weapon, i wouldnt like to be in his receiving end anyway, that’s gotta hurt 😀
i saw a video of the cockpit making 37mm bullets bounce, 🙂
