let me explain, in the long run, say cruise, by tweaking the FBW, it in response to the lighter nose, will make an input to the elevator for a slight “nose down input”, so you can flight straight, but cruising with slightly deflected flight controls induces a slight drag witch induces also a slight fuel burn increase.
see airbus for example, they had the bright idea of using the horiz stab as fuel tank also, so the computer keeps a balanced fuel qty. on the tail as a trim, (they call it trim tank) so the horiz stab doesnt have to be moved from neutral ( or really close to it) reducing deflection/drag/fuel consumption.
NOW here’s where i’m lost 😀 , i dont know if the Su-xx has a trim tank also :confused:
now i need some love to relax 😀 (being thinking way too hard 😀 )
