Perhaps they have been in touch with East Kirby direct? It would be worth checking. Not everyone uses this forum, there must be a few who don’t 🙂

There was this thread last year with reference to a Russian who had built a ‘replica’ and was demonstrating dive bombing with it!

Manston’s runway was about twice the width of a modern one like LHR.
Undercarriage failures on one side leaving room for ‘normal’ landings. The end of the runway is less than a mile from the sea…..

There were several aircraft wrecks visible at certain low tides in that area. The runway approach to Manston is over the sea and those that did not make the final mile or two ended up there. I was told that one tail was a Sterling and there was talk of a dive and possible recovery several years ago but it all went quiet. Apparently many years ago, 4 tails could be seen almost in a direct line with the runway.

I see that ‘White one’ has made an 8th test flight which included successful retraction of the undercarriage and tight taxi turns afterwards.

I visited the Aviation Museum at Norwich a few years ago and they had an excellent display of models and drawings of these aircraft.

Dan Johnson on the Historic forum is the man to ask. There are a couple on the Commercial forum who do redesigns of airline schemes. You could try asking on there.
