“APD is levied on the carriage, from a UK airport, of chargeable passengers on chargeable aircraft.

£40 for all other destinations

Reduced rates (for the lowest class of travel):

£5 for EEA destinations, certain dependant territories of EU member states, all EU applicant countries and Switzerland

£20 for all other destinations.”

Obviously, you also have to consider the charges levied in the other country (if not the UK).

The maple leaf looks off centre in relation to the unshaded (un-dotted?) area. Apart from the leaf itself, it’s boring, tired-looking and bland.

I knew about the limits of the 320s range, I was being sarcastic. Bmed certainly view the 320 as a long-haul aircraft!

Also Greyboy what was incorrect. The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Guyana were all under British Rule.

That said, Air France is in the process of introducing the A319LR on many of its long haul routes to former French colonies in Africa under the ‘Air France Dedicate’ branding. These will operate in a predominantly business class layout.

I think Lima might be quite a profitable route?

Lima is codeshared with Iberia (LHR-MAD-LIM). SCL would be a route I’d like to see reinstated.
