Yet more…
Its actualy SOU-MAN, there is no MAN base so no real challenge on BA π
EXT-NCL announced as well as nother one I have forgotten, I think EXT-MAN?
Exeter and Southamton are the new NCL flights
All from just Β£19 one way too!!
I guess there is a serious risk there. AFAIK , a DC10 crashed on Mt Erebus in the past and veryone on board was killed.
This was an Air New Zealand in 1983, however, it was on an Antarctic sightseeing tour so perhaps too close to the landmass for comfort?
Nice pictures – the SP looks well smart and the BWIA in the background of the PIA really adds colour to the apron!
Maybe passengers should be given the choice of whether to use the low cost terminal or the full service one? Although I could imagine this would be logistically impossible…
Gone but not forgotten π
The only other LCC I have been on is Iberia! I was NOT impressed as when I booked my ticket I was told I’d get food & drinks included but by the time I flew, the policy had changed to their “Tu MenΓΊ” supposedly upgraded catering that you have to pay for. β¬10 for a plate of Spanish meats, a muffin & a drink does not represent good value for money to me but I’d been travelling since 5am & this was lunchtime so I had no choice. Had I known, I would have eaten in the airport.
Tu Menu seems to be getting bad press, along with Austrian Airlines’ meals which you have to pay for. Is Iberia really low cost, or just applying cost cutting measures?!
Working for me.
same here
Jet 2 is Channex’s on Loco carrier?
Yes it is. Channex has 3 operating divisions: cargo, passenger charter and loco (jet2).
The approach to runway 10 always seems steep due to the buildings. However, runway 28 is almost always used in the mornings for landings.
Nice prictures π The MYT livery always looks impressive against a deep blue sky like that
Seems so long ago now Shamrock321. Wasn’t it Munich?
If only Duo got more time…their figures from EDI were
rising fast, a lucrative summer season could have made the difference.
Wasn’t Germania planning a route from PIK to Berlin? Seems that has yet to materialise.
Not sure about Europe-US routes, but Air France are planning to use the A319 on some services to Africa in an all-business layout
And I love the airport, as it is small and fast.
Will try to get some photos one evening this week or next as its my local airport (when it isn’t raining, there’s no footy on TV and I’m not working late!)
easyJet or bmibaby (can’t decide between the two)
