It “looks” serious however nothing is impossible in Warbird restoration and I am getting good vibes about this one.

Thanks for the address, as soon as I know that their is an appeal I will be sending a cheque. I will join the society anyway, its just that its a rather large cheque (for me anyway) and I dont want to send it if its already covered by insurance. Just being cautious thats all.

I know its an impostition but any chance of finding out more about the damage.

Specifically did the undercarriage collapse or was it retracted (for whatever reason – i’m sure the accident investigation will give the reason so I’m not worried about that.) and more importantly were the engines turning when she hit. I am worried about shock loading and her engines are not easy to come by.

Hmmm not often is it that I reply to a “fantasy” post, but this I couldnt resist.

The Typhoon or the Tempest – because I really want to hear a Napier sabre.
Finally, the Battle, as a memorial the those who flew knowing full well that they were going to get slaughtered, I know its the only one but this flying with the Blenheim would be a true memorial to some very brave men.

The Extra 300 sounds like the real thing when rolling along the runway, if a bit quiet, but it doesn’t roll as fast as it should do, you can’t pull enough G and it doesn’t have the vroom-vroom roar when you blip the throttle. Bah humbug. FS 2020 might get it right at this rate…
