    Roberto:
I remember seeing this model on drawings back in the eighties in avation books. What model is this and what was its intended purpose.

Se Dart was amazing too. What was the main reason they cancelled it?

I see SiCG either getting a upgraded package of 12 or so Mig-29s from Russia, or getting cheap deal with China which will still have to be upgraded for nato compatibility.
Gripens would be my wishful thinking, but it can only happen as a lease as Czechs did. Depending on the price, it just may make a lot of sence to do it.

I always thought it looked more like French Rafale because of the air intakes. At least the early ones. Havent seen any pictures of “YU supersonic” or “Novi Avion” after 1991

Also love the Ye-8 looks almost like the Eurofighter in some ways.Too bad a production model never came about.

Completely agree. Cant believe it didn’t go into production. First prototype Ye-8/1 crashed due to engine failure. Second Ye-8/2 had too many engine problems and they decided to scrap the whole project in 1962.

Design was so ahead of its time. Reminds me mostly of Chinese J-10.

I agree with you Dubya. Process of developing new airplanes is on a very slow side for the past couple of decades. I can think of only few very interesting working prototypes. Mig-1.44, Berkut, YF-23, F-32. Am I missing anything signifficant really?

nice pictures guys. Keep them comming.

Yeh, we not getting far with debating politics nor history here as usual. Its too complicated, and delicate issue.
So I sugest kiss and make up so someone can tell me more about this photo. I got it from Aerosvet magazine from 1991. Picture is from YU stand at La bourget airshow displaying model of unmanned hybrid delta prototype.

Any more info/pics on this would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

how about Mig-25R for reconnaissance. We would only need like one to take care of the whole business in 5min.
    sorry, couldn’t resist. :-))

I used to have few articles with pictures from early nineties from”Aerosvet” magazine describing some interesting Yugoslavian UAVs desings. Does anyone have quick reference/pics to those plans. Maybe they are displayed now at Batajnica Museum?

PS. I’ll look it up if I still have when I get home from work.

    oh, boy, here we go…
maybe, we should get a nuke or two from Russia to make things quicker.

Theserbian: this isnt really funny. Its your thread, but you should stop talking out of your a$$ and get down to the ground. Stop embarrassing us as you were advised already.

Yeh, old airframes is the main issue.

I always thought Yak-130 would be great for Serbian AF in addition to few dozen Galeb G-4Ms.

Mig-29M2 would be a perfect multi role airplane.

    just my 2cents

The bulk of these losses were non-operational equipment which was intentionally placed as decoys.

That is correct. Hundreds of junk pieces of equipment (trucks, tanks, airplanes, mobile AAA etc) were placed all over Serbia and moved/draged from place to place untill they were destroyed by multi million dollar missiles 🙂
I have heared multiple eye witness reports about that.
