How soon can we expect to see it flying at Legends then?
Have they found the data plate then?.:diablo:
If the money was to become available it should be restored as a BoB film He111.Seemples. :diablo: (lets hope I win the lottery!).
I’ll be there, had great time at the last one.
Nice vid,the display really showed the Spits lovely lines well. As for commentators, I wish they would understand we don’t really need them to tell us how nice the planes sound, just some historical info and a bit about the pilot then shut up.
And me. 🙁
Its a cracking photo.
PenPushers pics are great and are well worth their own thread.
Does anyone know who the buyer is?
Just watched it on iplayer, Ken is brilliant, shame there were 2 of my most hated “personalities” sharing the stage with him.
A most exellent job, I bet it sounds a treat.
As a previous poster said, after a couple of winters, the attention of the ariel wildlife and the pollution and atmospheric muck (tech term) she won’t stay white for long. They will need to have a stringent cleaning/consevation plan in place, havn’t seen one mentioned yet. 20 mill would get her flying rather than rotting. BA of course sponsor (sponsored?) the wheel, a fine example of German engineering. Having said that, if BA get too involved she will probably get lost on the way or end up in Singapore.
Thats a great site, will be on my must visit list next trip. For a small island Malta has amazing number of interesting places to visit.
Fort Rinella with its 100 ton muzzle loading cannon, the worlds biggest, is brilliant

for a small donation you can fire something a bit smaller,

loads to see, the old Qrendi airstrip, now a road,

and of course the wonderful museum

Three quarters of a century! Its fantastic how this plane still captures the imagination, so many still flying and many on the way, I wonder how many will still be flying in another 75 years.
