An idea! One we can all put our heads together for..

The sum he paid is £10 million more than what actor John Travolta, star of Grease and Pulp Fiction, spent on a Boeing 707 from Qantas Airlines of Australia.

    Didn’t Elton John have a 767?

Nice pics, that ex Ansett 733 looks good in Jet2 livery

I hope they become more permanent when GSM get their
    own aircraft. 😀

Excellent pics! But so many airlines that aren’t meant to be there! 😉
You know there was 2 Jet2 737s at EDI last night…..
Are SAS putting B738s on the route because of demand or what?
What was Braathens doing at EDI? It’d be good to see them restart the OSL route. A contender maybe? 🙂

I think the only way airlines can escape the BAA EDI
surcharges is via back-door charters.

Friday is an SAS ‘busy’ day…they don’t fly Saturdays..?
hence the 738 for the extra loads..

One wonders how Jet2 can spare these aircraft during
summer’s busiest month…will the Dart Group compete at
EDI when GSM obtain their own aircraft.?

Took this shot of G-EZET this morning – one in a million –

Was the Blue Line Fokker in on a charter? I know they are French but not sure exactly where they come from?

Blue Line, they had another – a 146 on a similar charter from CDG. – I waited ages for the 146 to leave but it
seemed glued to the terminal.. Bank holiday congestion.?

brilliant pictures you have there, love the KLM one!

Conditions were a tad adverse, A 20 knot wind and most Captains opted for backtracks! That put their aircraft far too high for pics.. 😮

Too late for the traditional ‘hop’ picking.? 😮

Excel..? Anyone know the AMM connection?

Apart from the ones that couldn’t care less like me. And as we all know the capital of Scotland is “S”. 😀

    Stenhousemuir? Never! :p

    Excellent pics as usual. 🙂
I always see one or two when I’m out for lunch. Today it was a FCA B752… 😎

Glasgow was once thought tobe the capital, but then we got a monarch and Edinburgh was declared the capital. Something that glaswegians have never been able to swallow.

Hey Sandy! It was Dunfermline before Edinburgh! 😀 😀

Before that it was Traprain Law and before that it was Ingliston. (Home of EDI) history repeating?

You know, the nosewheel on the FR B732 is the cleanest part of the aircraft! Look how clean it is…

I didn’t realise the lense was that good! 😀

Lovely shot of the Electra there, never seen one flying at low level, only parked up or going over the top.

I just love the take-offs… those four engines can sure
    send out the ‘smoke’ :-))

Excellent shots! I see you got to EDI before the rain came over

I did something right for a change and timed the ‘weather
    window’

What aircraft is that of the Alantic Airways, I just can’t remember the name….and was it on a mail/cargo run?

It’s a Lockheed L-188C(F) Electra, these freighters normally
operate in the wee small hours as you know.

Also, what lense you got on your 10D?

My main lense is a Canon 80-200mm f2.8L, its old and discontinued but still excellent.

I was looking at a review of the new 20D, it looks mighty fine, with a mighty big price tag also

OK for the pros, the discontinued Canon D30s/D60s coupled with the Canon 70 – 200mm F4 L lense will
    give excellent results.

The Canon 300D is also a mean performer.

My back-up camera is a Sony DSC-S70 look at this:

which would probably bore the socks off most Scots. What’s the point in arguing?

Nobody argues actually, the very mention of Edinburgh
in some parts of West Scotland is like waving a red flag at a Bull. 😮

Its down to centuries of what best can be described as tribalism..

Some tribes tend to be more civilised than others. 😀
