    RE: Mossie exhaust’s

it may well be because the first one is actually enclosed by the fairing that sits over the exhausts.

I dont know, it might be because one is routed into the other, havent actually gotten that close to find out exactly.

    RE: Near Miss!

and how close, vertically, do we think the aircraft, in the picture, are?

what a pain in the arse, mis informed, un-informed or bad intentioned people are.

As for the light aircraft. Its likley that the guy was a fool, or he was doing aerial mapping surveys.

A number of different companies operate aerial mapping surveys(and some GA flying clubs).

There was a serious incident when a tornado hit a c152 doing aerial surveying, without filing a proper flight plan. The tornado pilot had the mis-fortune to be doing his head down checks, didnt see the cessna and thus went straight through it, to plow into the ground some miles away, having elected to stay with the aircraft to avoid civvy areas.

This illustrious C152 may have been on a similar mission.

I obviously dont know the routings or the extent of heathrows airspace off the top of my head, but this aircraft may well have been operating UNDER heathrows CTA, as, with most CTA’s as they come down, the radius of the controlled airspace reduces in blocks.

there is no real excuse for him not to have filed a proper flight plan, or to have been doing a proper lookout(same goes for the airliner).

I’m sure this will make airprox, and you’ll be able to find it in a few months time.

RE: do you get these emails?

These are certainly fraudulous, and little if no action is being taken to get these people stopped(inadequate security forces, for this situation).

beware of where your email is!

    [updated:LAST EDITED ON 24-09-02 AT 09:56 PM (GMT)]Hi Philo.

Would be happy to chat about the website I made, its pretty simple(imperative for me!)

I have MSN, AIM or just drop me a line on the ol’ PM facility whatever, is fine…..

I did not get out onto the pan, I am nowhere near having the ability to do that, am just a humble enthusiast.

What I do have is a 70mm-210 mm lens.

I used this for all of those shots and just moved closer to the weird aircraft shown below, this allowed me to get shots of the aircraft individually.

True enough with the sunshine. Its unfortunate as the runway wont change so we are stuck with it, especially as its going to be every september. it would be great if they made it two months earlier, the sun would be much higher in the sky. This was very noticeable from the layout for everything else(which also isnt going to change!) Its a pity but if you think about it(and I dont do that often enough) you take photo’s up sun, looking at the aircraft, making lovely backlighting.

I havent got all of my flying photo’s back yet, and am dreading anything right of stage center just being a silouhette. oh well, live and learn.

    RE: SAS

the SAS can use anything any time basically. Ther are a profuse number of weapons which are ‘standard’ including many HK varieties and a large selection of pistols from the Browning 9mm to the latest ceramic glock thingies 🙂

Thing is, you make yourself look like friendlies(or regular enemy forces) or you want a weapon to do a job(if you intend not to be seen).

what you want for an operation requires different tactics and equipment.

RE: sending out a comp. SOS

thanx very much guys, i have tried just about all of your suggestions nikumba, and I have checked that its seated right all along the strip. So I’m thinking its faulty in some way.

Another friend has suggested i take it back and swap it for two 256 meg strips, so I think I’m gonna do that!

    thanx again
