A Uk Recovery plan was stopped when MOd was told by a person outside the recovery team that human remains were in the wreckage. This was the Whitley P5009 in Loch Enoch. No attempt that I am aware of has been made to recover the human remains. And I have never seen any proof that the remains existed.

Only about six months away from you being able to have everything snug, well done.
Just a thought, are you on the location listings for Film/TV agencies? I can think of a few time travel dramas which would be far better with added Lightning!

You are correct to be careful about photos of demonstrations and signs shown. The photojournalist has to find pics that will sell and they attend every event, rally, march no matter how small. So the publicity given easly gives a visual impression of an event larger than it actually is in many cases.

As for Islam increasing in Europe, I really have not noticed problems with the ones I meet so have no concerns if it does increase. The ones I have met are thoughtful, hospitable educated and a world away from the alcohol fuelled bigots who are only on the streets to have a fight.

Jk that was a really well composed summary of the reality of aircraft wrecks and the challenges and choices. In the Uk the ever shrinking remoteness and ever increasing publicity will put the few remaining visible wreck sites under such pressure that barring 24 hour security they will have vanished in ten years time. The perception that these relics have a good financial resale value has moved them beyond the time when only scrap dealers could be bothered.

Some people just develop a talent for photography but I think Brian was born with his brain wired up ready to compose great shots. Another set of cracking images Brian thanks.

Sadly this is not the first time that the firearms laws have put an otherwise law abiding person into court.Unless you have a certificate for a named firearm then have nothing to do with them. The number of enthusiasts who get caught out by these draconian laws are many and include those get reported when a person sees them with a de activated or replica weapon.

Look up what happened to Winston Ramsey of After the Battle publications.

The Vimy has been retired according to a plan and those involved had to work within current CAA policy. So really it was not unexpected and a historic airframe is now on display having completed the aims of the owners in a fantastic way.

There are some odd contradictions in the policies relating to flying in the UK. I look with envy at what is possible in many other countries and I do believe that certain groups should continue to lobby for changes of the rules. It takes time, determination and a group approach. A pilot friend of mine took 15 months to sort out a medical grounding by the CAA and it took help from AOPA.

They are written by a PC to order and are simply generated by a programme he designed,it has never been proven that he has actually sold any of these publications.

Nostalgia aint what it used to be

I was at Palatine 1964 to 69 and also got chased out of Air Navs place !
Sadly I never got the idea of hanging around Westair, a mate of mine John Cartmell did and he ended up flying the 337 GRORO for the owner, then onto the Warton Cessna shuttles.

Yes it was indeed Clive not Cliff. Several of the older spotters used to turn up in all sorts of vehicles, Walls Ice cream van, three wheeler and mopeds, I just used the 22 bus !

And I wonder how many have bothered to read the actual truth behind the myths. How the headline grabbers overshadowed the skilled .And it was not just Sir Keith Park who was sidelined for many years.Such as Auchinleck who was replaced by Montgomery, because he dared to stand up to Churchill.
