Save money and engineering by using a skeletal approach and that would also allow for figures of the crew to show, less wind resistence ,weight.windvane style. the size would be easily reduced with no effect on impact.
Methinks Matt Poole is really Sherlock Holmes……
Was originally called South Wales Historic Aircraft Preservation Society, I recall Dewi Jones and Dave Broadley on my visits as active members with regular exhibits at local schools. They managed to get a few aircraft under cover at RAF St Athan before the use of open ground by Rhoose airport.

Same mistake on my first visit..later became used to passing the Newspaper Archives,It was never well sign posted in the early years.
Junkers freighters in Papua New guinea were used to move bulky cranes and more around by removing sections of fuselage roof behind the cockpit. It looked impossible but they flew with care and did this more than once. So no surprise to see Halifax freighters referred to this way.
Dont forget when fieldwalking, look up when in woodland. There have been several examples of parts being found still hanging on tress and in shrubs/scrub. In particular this has been reported concerning Wellingtons. Good luck.
An image? as a logo For the armed forces? Not needed when you have so many photos around generated by a well trained practiced team of services photographers who have for many years set a high standard with portayals of the people and equipment in role and helping with disaster relief plus sport.
The RAF is not a product which you HAVE to purchase. Therefore there really is no pressure to re brand . This costly brand affair was pointless, especially as it did involve an outside agency. Could have been done by a few people over a few meetings using the roundel and the 100 years wording…..
Fighter Squadron complete with P51 flight in mock German markings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOiiSRHXkS8
The use of the P51 gave rise to several wrongly attributed stills claiming they were captured examples.
The Avro 19s that were not scrapped by the RAF had a variety of roles. Treffield Aviation ran cargo including a lucrative ferry service from Blackpool to the Isle of man and Ireland during several ship strikes with cigarettes as freight. Some were planned to be used as medical/aid transports in the Biafra war refugee crisis and not all got there. I saw many being scapped at Shawbury and only the remote location of Aldergrove in Ireland saved WD413 from the same fate, being disposed of in 1977.
