Television reaches a far wider audience than aviation and military history people. Sometimes it is overlooked that many facts are not widely known to the general public and programmes like this help raise awareness of history.
I look forward to catching a repeat whenever that happens?
Suggest you read the aeromodellers thread on UKAR as already mentioned.

Some background about the effort for what was a squadron event for past and present members.
Given the limited time for a scheme I think it was clever that the torn sections indicate that below the current Merlin scheme was the historic scheme of the black bomber finish so that also reflects the sentiment of the squadron that behind the current operations it is never forgotten that many went before on operations never too return.
Thank you for sharing many breathtaking images, the first one is awesome and makes me say WOW.
Seems to refer to the grey area of supplies which might be connected to a possible military function and I note that the phrase “accused of ” crops up in the article which mentions Mr Woodford .Strange how individuals get accusations and major corporations worldwide are left alone to make megabucks.A cynical person might say that the correct payments were not made to the right person.
The Baltic has to be a place to go looking, water conditions are very good for preservation. On second thoughts the best places are fresh water lakes which were often frozen at the time of the forced landing or were in use as a temporary airstrip.
The channel between France and the Uk is one of the worse places especially when the surface preservation plan is not in place or proven,eg Brenzett 109,Firebex is spot on as usual.
