This public display of love that Snapper and Flood have for each other is getting out of hand. 😀

No, but I did detect the stench associated with the thought of depending on a French institution in a military operation.
I know the feeling. Nothing like the security of having the French as an allie.
The Su-30MKI does not have GPS guided bombs like the AASM and the Rafale has the longer ranged SCALP EG as compared to the Su-30MKI which longest-range ground attack weapon is the Kh-59ME.
I am real curious to see how far that goes in the long run. AASM is made by Sagem. Sagem also does ( avionics? software? ) support on the SU-3x. AASM will be in two flavors. One GPS/INS like JDAM. ( customers that don’t hold control over the secure end of the GPS topology like the US does, might find that a disadvantage) The other flavor INS / and IR target recognition. ( like Israeli SPICE ) ( remember the Israel and India defense ties?). There is the GLONASS version of the KAB-500 kit but I wouldn’t chose that unless it is based on a different, (controlled by India) secure topology. Just because you have some Russian made dumb iron sitting around for this kit still might not be reason enough. That immediately leaves a few choices right off the bat. Maybe the end result will be a domestic license built bomb kit for dumb iron using that tech? It is a reach, or maybe it isn’t ??? You decide. That the Su-30MKI will have a cheap ( thats important cheap, not some big honking cruise missile, as not all target profiles need a cruiser ) all weather strike munition in the near future. Just an idea. But time will tell and it is certainly somethng to consider if this theory turns into a solution down the road.

Thats so fking funny I’m going to quote you on that everytime I need to shoot down an argument from that GD extremist Vortex >end of sarcasm<
I used the mention of sarcasm because I think Golden Dragon doesn’t pack the head gear to figure out otherwise.
This probably goes in the General Section as it isn’t Modern Military Aviation.
What is funny is when they did some of those unmanned things on a shoestring budget. And the results showed it. You get what you pay for.

I agree on the Rwanda issue, but I can’t support your other opinions, especially due to the US’ role during the Iraq-Iran war in the 1980’s. I hope you’re familiar with this issue as well.I’m not attempting to be moral, I’m merely presenting hypothetic reasons which may provide some explanation regarding the unbalance in the amounts of support for Allied Force and Iraqi Freedom.
“Exactly what Mr Rumsfeld, who at the time did not hold government office, told Mr Aziz on 26 March 1984, remains unclear and minutes from the meeting remain classified.”
So again certain media are making connections without all the fact. No suprise. There were also no U.N. sactions against Iraq at the time. Something that didn’t keep France, Germany, Russia, China, and others from doing direct business with Iraq recently.
A further quote from that link…
“Last night, Danny Muller, a spokesman for the anti-war group Voices in the Wilderness, said the documents revealed America’s “blatant hypocrisy”…….”
That kind of leftist banter says it all.
what that reminds me is of those bloody $astards who bombed Japan for testing their new weapon and then citing in the succeding yrs as to how that bombing made the war end…. I call it damn BS… any way Japan wud have surrendered, coz little was left to hold on … but then histroy that world now sees and read is all scripted by the Aliied forces …. and thats a real pity ….
You need some help. You are showing your ass with your history revisionism.
Cool stuff
too bad there isnt an email address. then I could tell him what an idiot he is.
Even though ADF for example eventually got it. They didn’t like doing it. An AMRAAM fires right off of the rail like an AIM-9. The Sparrow falls off and fires after what seems an annoying wait. and has all that extra complex connectivity that made it famous for it’s grand total of firing PK history. Ack :p As for the original design. Don’t know. It was a competition so it got a not so powerful radar setup to go along with the bargain basement price to show to congress.
