Easy answer….
Yes, the RAF still fly some museum pieces:
VC-10
TriStar
Puma
Sea King
1st Gen Typhoon….
It’s a shame they didn’t align the rivet line with her nipples.
I fancy a tug.
P47 looks amazing.
Careful, those who think metal “goes off” with age will be able to hear the rivets stretching!!!!
A great performance and illustrating perfectly what a large aircraft can do with its energy.
I don’t think ‘Sally B’ ever looked better than here.
That’s pretty nice but when I first walked through Sally B, she was bare metal with a blue stripe up the fin and looked much much better, IMHO.
I feel it was a bit of a waste, and don’t understand why. I actually liked the Jaguar, and it could have had a longer life in a museum. Irrationally, this act has pi$$ed me off.
I can say from personal experience that this aircraft has had loads of time spent on it to make it the machine it is today. It arrived as a bit of a nail really and has undergone a significant transformation to revert it to being a well engineered restoration. It’s truly a credit to the team who have put it back in the skies. The colour scheme was a long kept secret and as there’s so much surface area, in these eyes it couldn’t be better! The techniques used to apply the serial and stencils and being accurate for the period. I had a penchant for the Bearcat, and have done for years, but the Jug just looks amazing. The image of it taking off is bob on. I hope I get the pleasure of seeing it fly first hand, and may it grace our skies for years to come.
To all at TFC who were involved in the project…WELL DONE.
Great images Logan, thanks for sharing them. Is that last shot a Fisher XP-75 Eagle?? Do you have any more images of it?
Pedants…
People were killed, and an aircraft destroyed. Refactor this one…
Fake….looks just too perfect! And those control surface deflections would indicate they’re not taking it easy with it!
Why can’t you just say “Aeroplane Magazine”?

They should put her straight on display, in a nice ‘used’ condition
Couldn’t agree more….just leave it as is, not washed, not tarted up. Aircraft aren’t naturally clean, they get in an awful state and the Harrier will look all the better for it. They have a clean GR3 in AirSpace anyway….

Those images are so beautiful, it aches. Thanks for sharing, simply fantastic, I miss TFC.
