Totaly agree with you, but that sould mean that they get a fair triel, which is probably inpossible in the US, all the juries would be biest, and I don’ t blaim them but no court would ever send them free.

however the line gets blurry as who decides someone is a terrorist and based on what evidence. i think the international courts would be good for that job, they look at all the intel and evidence that led to an arrest and decide if it was enough to prove that the suspect was engaged in terrorist activities. if so, they are snet to the nation that they planned to attack, if not, they are set free.

That would mean that all persons in Cuba shoud be tried in Afganistan and not the US, if they should be tried at all, because most of them fought a war in Afganistan and done nothing against the US.

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $576,451,250 modification to convert a previously awarded undefinitized contract action (N00019-03-C-0044) to a definitized multiyear contract for the fiscal year 2004-2007 procurement of three Hawkeye 2000 E-2C (HE2K) aircraft and five trainer E-2C, as well as all associated support equipment, aircraft components, long-lead material items, integrated logistics support, logistics support, training, sustaining engineering, spare and repair parts, incorporation of engineering change proposals, repair and/or modification of government furnished property, and all associated publications and technical, financial and administrative data.

In addition, one HE2K and one E-2C trainer will undergo system development and demonstration (SDD) modification.

Work will be performed in St. Augustine, Fla., and is expected to be completed in September 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

Small and probably a stupid question, what is different about the trainer E-2C, is it a simulator or an excusal a/c and the it presumably doesn’t have the equipment, so no controllers in the back?

Good for the US and for Airbus, no sponsoring of the airline industry even not with these kind of deals.
