California to New Zealand
I forgot the name of the movie, but it was about two small a/c being delivered to New Zealand. One crash landed on an island and the other one pushed true to Australia. But he got lost in the Pacific ocean but an airliner came to the rescue.
Does anyone know the name of the movie. I would love to see it again.

RE: My Farnborough pictures.
Nice pics,
Although the Airbus A318 still looks very weird, I can’t get used to the dimensions of the thing.

It is at Moron, Spain.
Morón Air Base, Spain, Home of the 496th Air Base Squadron
It’s runway is 3595 meters long.
The Moron Air Base is a joint-use U.S. Air Force and Spanish Air Force Base and was designated a TAL site in 1984. Moron Air Base serves as a weather alternate for both low and high inclination launches.
The Moron AB is located about 35 miles southeast of Seville and 75 miles northeast of Naval Station Rota. Although Moron is close to the foothills of the Sierra de Ronda mountain chain, most of the surrounding countryside is flat with a few hills and shallow valleys. Elevations vary from 200 to 400 feet above sea level. The weather is generally good with no associated unusual weather phenomena.
The Moron AB has an 11,800 by 200-foot runway with 1000-foot overruns and a 50-foot asphalt-stabilized shoulders. The runway is equipped with Shuttle-unique visual landing aids and a Microwave Landing System (MLS), a Tactical Air Control and Navigation (TACAN) system, a remote weather tower and a Shuttle Orbiter Arresting System (SOAS).
Communications at Moron includes three INMARSAT satellite circuits, US Defense Communication Net (DCN) lines and Spanish commercial telephone lines. Internet capability is available through the base Large Area Network (LAN).

RE: Just …
On September 9th 2001 I was working on my piece for school. I happened to be on Eindhoven Airport when I’ve heard the news. A friend of mine called me up, unrelated to this, and told me. For some reason, because I know him, and the tone in his voice, I didn’t believe him. When I headed back from Eindhoven to Utrecht, by train, I did hear some people talking about NY and Washington, and planes crashing. Odd but I didn’t pay much attention to it. Until I was home and the telly was on. Special programs where on at every station and I watched and watched until 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning, started at 7pm or so. Got up in the morning and turned on the tv again and watched it again.
I felt quite dazed at the moment I realised what had happened and got thinking about the implications this is going to have for the world. I knew America wanted to do something, but things for me got a bit shaky and insecure.
Then the terrible event happened with the airliner crashing into a suburb of NYC. I happened to be at Schiphol at the time coming back from England so I’m not going to airport in a while (just kidding).
