If I were to vote tomorrow I would have to consider everything via the available candidates, taking into account all that has been said and make my mind up based upon the then situation, not looking back on the past and regretting the future possibilities that could come; especially given the circumstances of me being a qualified teacher, I would hate to again see students suffer the sudden rise of fees for University when Scotland pass it out to their students for free …

Furthermore; I think it is important to take into consideration something of this caliber and duly noted that mistakes have been made before but the only way to fix these errors is the look at the best possible circumstances for the majority part of who it may concern, otherwise people will suffer in the longrun if nothing is looked at for the people a.k.a the public eye

However, I will never vote for a party such as the BNP as I personally detest their demeanour.

I just still always question in the back of my mind how a tiny three letter word – war – creates so many problems with such sadness, remorse, pain, anguish, disbelief, hatred amongst other things …

I always find it respectful to remember that if it wasn’t for the people who serve this country, we wouldn’t have a life like we do now and I think it’s important to remember that.

It’s when I see photos like the one above and I see all the people in their early 20’s – so around my age … the first thing that comes to mind is that they were probably so brave and now they’re never going to get the chance to do things they thought of, they’ve gone at such a young age – which isn’t really an age to die at …

I’ve not got any photos to share but I was talking to my dad earlier about family on his side who had past been in the wars, finding out about my Granddad’s cousin who served in world war and was in a prison camp occupied by the Japanese army having to survive by drinking his own urine … 🙁

I also found out about nana’s uncle who also served in the world war I believe, his medal is downstairs and holding it kind of brought a feeling of honour and respect for him and all the other people who have served in the UK Forces.

Then it might not be anything but my dad showed me his medals for 7 years service in the Royal Navy, including a medal for service in the Fights of Northern Ireland.

If you’re quoting from ‘Horace’s Odes’ or even the British female poet Jessie Pope then it’s a straight comment.

    Book 3, Ode 2 🙂

Out of curiosity, I don’t know if any of you have experienced this also, but a few years ago around this time I went to London with my University classmates and a friend of mine and me both stood at the War Memorial where all the poppies were laying and without any intention of considering it or even thinking it, my friend and I just both burst into tears and suddenly this massive feeling of graciousness and respect alongside this feeling of sadness I guess I should call it … It was quite peculiar because I wasn’t even thinking of sadness, I was thinking in my head of such respect for the fallen …

I haven’t actually seen a single advert for this years poppy appeal and even now working in a supermarket, yesterday I didn’t see a single thing regarding the poppy appeal either …

But still at the end of the day, it’s for a good cause and the memory of the people who had fallen for this country.

It’s as the poem always says, dulce et decorum est pro patria mori … 🙂
