It’s been an extrememly long time since I’ve been able to see a Spitfire. In fact the last one I saw was other than the Y2K TE294 rebuild project was
RW382 here in Victoria BC Canada. She was here for the summer before heading back south for the winter. Sadly she never made it back the next summer…
Anyway here’s my “pole shot” from way back then..

    Season 2

Season 2 Of Black Sheep Squadron was due for release in Canada on the 3rd of July. No sign of it in the shops yet however. On the flip side both season 2 and 3 of Airwolf are in the stores here in Canada.

I don’t think the photo is faked. I work as a photo tech and in my opinion it’s not photoshopped. Take look at the way the horizontal stab and fin are on each aircraft. All are slightly different. Not a cut and paste job. The greying of the image from the top down also suggests a fogged negative. Just my two cents worth.

    No 2 id

The aircraft in photo no 2 is the Horten Model HW-X-26-52 Wingless. Built in Santa Ana California in 1954. The wings were semiretractable and the structure and engines were based on the Cessna T-50 Bobcat.

I don’t think this is the book your looking for as it doesn’t have any cutaways. However I’ve found it to be an excellent book filled with three views and colour profiles. It’s Warplanes of the Third Reich by William Green. ISBN- 0-88365-666-3 My copy was published by Galahad books.

    Order Now!

I would suggest everyone order NOW! I recieved my Spitfire DVD yesterday and couldn’t wait to put it in the DVD player. I managed to watch the first few minutes before the kids forced me to take it out…………… What I did see was fantastic though! Can’t wait till I get home from work today as the kids will be asleep and I can put the DVD back in and turn up the volume on my headphones for some terrific sounding merlins!
Great product I’ll be back for more soon..

    Mr Alex Henshaw

YES! Something should be done..If I could I would knight the man myself I would! He’s done so much for British aviation throughout his life. From pioneering flights in the Mew Gull. To testing the Spitfires and Lancasters at Castle Brom and now with the donation of his archives and the support for the replica Mew Gull.. His recognition for all of his efforts is long overdue…

    Flight status

From information received from a friend a mine a while ago was that she had been sitting still needing a new prop for the past two years. I do not now if this has been done recently or not… I did see a photo with the prop off at one time but I am unaware of it’s current status. Even if currently airworthy, I understand she didn’t fly much before needing the prop anyway.
