I would plant a 5in mount where the Mk.13 launcher was……dump the 3in mount aft and replace that with a RAM launcher……

US navy vessels collide in Gulf
    breaking news

Two US navy vessels have collided in the Strait of Hormuz near Iran, lightly injuring 15 sailors, the US navy said.

A navy submarine, the USS Hartford, and an amphibious vessel, the USS New Orleans, collided early on Friday morning, the US Navy Fifth Fleet said.

The incident is being investigated and damage to both ships is being evaluated, a navy statement said.

The fuel tank of the New Orleans was ruptured in the crash, causing an oil spill of 25,000 gallons of diesel.

none. No money for that. The remaining FFG-7s are merely a nice way to get a 3in gun and a helo around

    comrade skootar,

didn’t a few weeks ago, you didn’t believe the possibility of MIG-29Ks going to the Gorshkov?

what would be funny and ironic is if Gorshkov negotiations fail, and Russia decides to suddenly keep the Gorshkov for themselves and some of the MiG-29Ks.. and in the end, took advantage of the Indians paying for it! that would be evil. yet I think they might well be capable of that!

And India would never buy weapons from them again.

It was reported that Russian Navy is reviewing different compositions of airwings for the future CVs, including a mix of Mig-29K and upgraded Su-33/KUB and naval PAK-FA

Naval PAK-FA? Is that another incarnation of the great mythical beast?

sources (by this i mean me) suggest that INS Viraat is currently in drydock having steam catapults and arrestor gear in stalled so she can operate the MIG-29s…….as this will be MUCH more cost effective, and faster than waiting for the great russian abortion to be delivered.:D
