When Capt Christopher was beamed onto the ship…….why was he standing when he materialized and not in the sitting position? No WAY one can stand upright in an F-104 cockpit!

Best fighter Georgia could get would be JAS-39…..conscripts can service it easily….good rough field capability……doubt they’l ever get them…….AND they’d need an AD infrastructure…..radars……SAMS…etc. It will NEVER happen. Russia can’t afford to back down now.

I wonder where Russia will stop? Will Ukraine annoy Mr Putin enough to send in the tanks now that he see’s he can get away with it?

The regime in Tblisi has brought this outcome upon itself, or to be more accurate upon those unfortunate enough to live under its control. The forces of the Russian Federation had no alternative but to come to the aid of the people of South Ossetia. The Georgian regime has frequently tested the patience and tolerance of Moscow with its overtly pro NATO, pro Washington and hence anti Russian agenda, rather than a more common sense geo-political policy for the region in which it sits. The fact that there is a sizeable US presence within the country, allegedly part of Washingtons so called “War on Terror” no doubt played a part in the Tblisi govts gross miscalculation of this foolish aggression against the South Ossetians and therby their Russian allies. The Govt in Tblisi should have to pay the price of this aggression against innocent civilians along with those who perpotrated and supported this attack.

Interesting. A full scale invasion of Georgia…..not planned in advance at all……and its Georgia”s fault? They made the SAME mistake Poland made when they attacked Germany in 1939 compelling the weremacht to strike back. Stupid Georgians! This will show them! Hmmmm…..maybe Poland could be next/ No….Ukrain is more of a problem to Russia than Poland right now.
