RE: Iraqi Invitation (Part2)
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-08-02 AT 07:03Â AM (GMT)]Hi, Vortex,
As for Afghanistan, It’s to early to decide wheter the American (or allied as you wish) intervention has changed anything to the country. It’s not the US’s fault that this country is already so long at war, it’s mainly the fault of the local generals who prefer the current situation. Maybe 10 years from now, we can have a clear view on Afghanistan. It’s just too early now.
I don’t know much of the Taleban, but I don’t think a women in Afghanistan is happier now, she still has to wear her Burka and her son might have been killed on some wedding party. I’m not blaming America, it’s not America’s fault a couple of Mark-82 bombs have been dropped wrongly … err … it’s god’s fault! Oops, no, god is with us. Must have been the fault of those Europeans, not being able at pinpointing the exact target.
Phantom, stop with your macho behaviour, because you act like a 8-year old kid.

RE: Belgium sells weapons to Nepal

Belgium defends arms sales to Nepal
The Belgian Government has been defending the controversial sale of more than 5,000 machine guns to Nepal.
Belgian Foreign Minister Louis Michel said the Nepalese authorities needed the weapons because of the threat posed by Maoist rebels who are trying to impose a communist dictatorship.
He said the production and sale of arms was not immoral, and the real question was to know who they are going to.
Politicians from other Belgian parties have demanded an urgent parliamentary debate on the deal, claiming that it could infringe guidelines against the sale of weapons to countries embroiled in civil wars.
The issue has split the governing coalition of Belgian Prime Minister, Guy Verhofstadt.
The Maoist rebels have been fighting since 1996 to overthrow the constitutional monarchy in Nepal.

RE: Georgian bombing reports

“
The US is deeply concerned about credible reports that Russian military aircraft indiscriminately bombed villages in northern Georgia “
Ari Fleischer,
White House spokesman
This reaction supprises me a bit though. I thought Russia was in the coalition against terror.
What is the United States so afraid of? It can’t be of the pipeline going through Georgia …
