RE: Cheeta pictures
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-05-02 AT 05:54Â PM (GMT)]You have been to Parks in Zimbabwe and Zambia. Well, according to my brother, they are really the best ones in Africa. kruger NP is nice, and easy to get there, but the real “Safari-feeling” is still missing, probably because every 50 km’s there’s a camp where you can buy loads of beer, wash your clothes and eat European style! Zimbabwe is a totally other way of travelling. Two years from now, I hope to climb the Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. That must be a thrilling experience.
Did you ever get any pretensions of jacking in your European living and re-training as a safari guide – something I’d love to try out!
My brother did so. When he was 24, he just left Belgium and moved to SA because Europe was getting too small (and too busy). Not as a safari-guide, but to make money he says 🙂 With the money he earns in SA, you can live as a King, but here in Europe, it’s worth nothing! Live’s too expensive here, so I don’t think he will ever return to his homeland.
Next step is Australia. Little problem is €€€€€€ and $$$$$$$$. So if anyone wants to give me financial backup, I give you my credit account 🙂
My favourite animal was not the Cheeta but the hyena. It reminds me of myself … a sarcastic ##### }>. I took the picture from in the camp, so it’s not the animal who’s locked up.
RE: UN gets a new member
Switzerland will eventually join the EU, because they are in a very difficult position now, surrounded bu all EU-states. It’s in their best that they join.
RE: HELPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
Yeah, I know that problem. But I can’t help you.
Good luck anyway, she’ll need it; }>
RE: You’ve just won millions…………
1. I would buy a A-340-600 for myself and travel around the world. A bit like the Austin Powers’ Jumbo, only not with the “man”-sign on the tail.
2. An Island somewhere in the Mediterranian.
3. I could afford to buy AFM and AI and AW every month.
4. Buy new keyboards. And if there’s still some money left: a mouse.
RE: The European Union bar code……..
No, a junion jack with the us flag in one corner and the eu in another 🙂
RE: The European Union bar code……..
The British gov’t has started a new refreshing EU-website.
RE: Current Magazine
can’t you start a similar topic on AFM? I guess there are many people who wanted to say something about the current articles.
RE: Pic Of The Day-Sabena Fans!!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-05-02 AT 09:30Â PM (GMT)]Man, the B-747-300 is such an ugly plane compared to the A-340-300.
RE: Greek / Turkish Aircraft Carriers!
Navalizing the Mirage 2000. That’s about the stupidest thing I’ve heard so far. Why would one like to navalize the M2K? You can as well get the Rafale, a M2KN would cost even more. The landing gears are not suited for carrier based operations anyway.
But I don’t think it would be such a good idea of Greece to invest in carriers. The HAF is well equipped, but the defence budget is limited and I’m pretty sure that Greece (poorest country in the EU) can’t afford to waste so much money on their carrier-program. Same for Turkey ofcourse.
RE: Belgian Ardennes
In Belgium you can combine everything, Frank. Such a small country, you can visit all of it in just one weekend :7.
Durbuy is really nice, it is the smallest ‘city’ in the world. But with the thousands of tourists, I don’t think it still diserves that title. If I were you Comet, I would visit all of these places, it won’t take more than 2 days. Maximum distance between them is 50 km.
RE: Favourite Band?
I can’t get you out of my head?? You are listening too much to that Kylie Minoge (spelling??) ##### Rabie }>
REM etc are nice bands, but Michael Stipe really is a cissy. That also counts for Live (Just look at the “I am overcome” video-clip). I hate songs like “Everybody Hurts”, but I do like “What’s the frequency Kenneth …”
RE: The European Union bar code……..
I would put some smiley’s on it. I mean, we Europeans always like to laugh with our “capitalistic, simplistic, narrow-minded” Americans (and right we are). 15 }> on a blue scheme, can you think of anything better.
The EU-flag is actually stolen from the COE (council of Europe), but the second organisation is not so well known. With 41 members that’s a shame, because Albania, Latvia … are also members of the COE. The COE was an utopia of uniting ALL European states (including the former east-bloc nations), but the west continued on its own and that’s how the EU became reality.
RE: The European Union bar code……..
Looks shite. No, let’s just stick with the old one. It’s better than Stars and stripes }>
RE: Belgian Ardennes
Probably Durbuy or Spa, Namur is not even a part of the ardennes
RE: Found this on another forum
Can you give me the phonenumber of your daughter. :9
