    RE: so funny…

Yeah, economical sanctions against Belgium? For what using a veto? America uses veto`s all the times to protect Israel in the UNSC.

And this has nothing to do with communautary problems. Majority of the gov`t are still Dutch-speaking.

France is a member of NATO now. That`s all that matters. And Belgium and germany have always been a faithful allies.

Some wise words Seahawk. It would indeed be better if these countries would ask to remove all American troops out of their countries.

The alliance is broken, and it would be better for countries like Belgium, Germany and France to drop out of NATO.

And we are forgetting Russia – though not a member of NATO – but supporter of the Franco-German peace plan. Russia has helped the US in the 9/11 aftermath, and so did Germany and France. But there has to be a limit.

And I never said we were badly used by the US. Why do you have to change my words?? I said, the US only interfered after the war started. So why should Europe back the US at the start of this war? The US can easily win this war on its own, without the support of that Euro-trash. If the US would have been directly attacked by a foreign power, that would be something different.

And if Turkey would have been a real ally, they wouldn`t have placed troops in Cyprus. Nice ally we have.

And not only France and Belgium, JJ, also the Netherlands Norway, Sweden, Spain, Italy, all these countries who signed that pathetic letter a couple of weeks ago (or wanted to sign, but were not invited as was the case with the Netherlands).

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-02-03 AT 04:27 PM (GMT)]Yeah like during WWI and WWII. When dit the USA came to rescue us, years after the conflict has started. In 1917 and in 1941. And when did the conflicts start, in 1914 and in 1939. And what about Russia, didn`t they help destroying the Nazi`s? `

Fact is: we shouldn`t just look at the history, but what`s today. The US is bound on making a war, it`s only looking for a reason. At least, Belgium, France and Germany don`t just swallow, they try to find a diplomatic solution. I know this is a an aviationforum, and most people probably get excited seeing the B-52`s in action again, but for most people on the continent and in America, they don`t care about that.

And, today, I`m proud to be a Belgian. At least our government had the balls to express our public opinion.

“therefore the frogs, beligan, germans, et al can not be involved“

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? That`s just crap Rabie. Taking revenge on the QEII huh }>.

We took our responsabilities, and therefor we are blamed.

And the rest of Europe, Rabie, won`t exist anymore after the next elections. Don`t forget, it`s the European gov`ts that don`t have a common policy, not the people. 87 of Europeans don`t back a unilateral attack against Iraq, including the Britons. Boy, Tony is lucky there are no elections tomorrow.

At this time there`s no indication that Turkey will be invaded by Iraq. If that would happen, ofcourse NATO would have to respond. Saddam may be a madman, he`s not nuts.

It`s all about the principles JJ, what if NATO would attack Iraq next. NATO could eventually become the worldpolice, is that what we want.
