Heah, if there’s honesty involved then no I don’t have a problem with it. You are helping a mate out. I’m not suggesting this is a first choice but it is an option. If it were me in this situation I would be honest and say ‘Please stop contacting me, we’re not together anymore, get used to it. Move on and enjoy your life with your husband! I have someone new in my life and we are very happy etc…..’

I have always got on better with males than I have females, although my friend base is now very mixed. My hubby can be friends with who he wants to be, as can I.

Boy, I can’t see many of my female friends wanting to go to anyshows with me, so because I’m female do I have to stay out of the male environment, just because I am interested in aviation? Don’t think so. Does my hubby feel threatened that I like aviation and enjoy going to airshows? No, its a common interest! You may see me about – there are a few of us females at airshows that do have big grins on our faces, and don’t look like we are being dragged round!

So in short, anyone can be friends with whoever, no probs! 😀

Didn’t mean to rant but it bugs me when people say ‘you cannot just be friends because you’re of the opposite gender’.

Get your girlfriend to answer the phone and say she is your wife and she would appreciate it if your ex would stop pestering you….doesn’t have to be your girlfriend that speaks, if she’s not comfortable with the idea (maybe another female friend/acquaintance might do it.).

If it is proper pestering then you have numerous options anyway! 🙂

Last I knew Tony Blair was our Prime Minister, not George Bush or John Kerry.

This is a thread I will not be keeping up to date with from the 2nd November, but that’s my choice, as I’ve read the thread and I don’t find it interesting.

Please don’t think I am in any way, shape or form anti-american. I have long-term American friends that I love dearly and I think it’s a very nice place to visit, but just not in an election year! 🙂

How about telling us a bit more of your experience, because as I woman I have no clue what you have been through, so can’t explain certain behaviours….well as for breaking you and your partner up that’s not good, but if you were strong together why did you break up – there must have been a weak link. 🙂

Me, I’m giving my better half a hard time – I’m so impatient and I’ve got yet another cold, failed 2 assignments (to redo in 2 weeks time) as well as 3 other assignments to do, in time for Christmas….so I have apologised to him and bought him one or two presents today!
