The Mirages and Neshers received their triangles in 1973 when Lybian Mirages were encountered by Israeli fighters.
Speaking of Argentina, the IDF/AF Museum recently received one of our former Mirages back from Argentina. It was supposed to be 13-kills 158, but apparently the Argentians made a mistake and sent 159. So now it’s on display, still bearing Argentinian camo but adorned with its mate’s former identity and kills markings.

At the time of the Six Days War, IDF/AF fighters used either the Matra 530 or the Shafrir I. Both were crap, and neither is credited with anymore than a handful of kills during their entire sevice with the IDF/AF. It wasn’t until the introduction of AIM-9s and Shafrir II during subsequent years that any significant amount of missile kills were achieved.
The Arabs were using K-13s at the time.
Why did Mirages do so well? For a number of reasons. Better training and piloting skills is one. Another was that although the Mirage was inferior in many respects to the major Arab fighter at the time, the MiG-21, it had its advantanges, which IDF/AF pilots put to good use. This was in large part thanks to the defection of an Iraqi pilot in a MiG-21 during the previous year. Israeli pilots already knew a great deal about the MiG when it they encoutered it during the war.
The Liberty was indeed hit by Mirages. There was an interview with one of the pilots recently, in the Jerusalem Post, here.
I hope these are sufficient: IDF/AF Official Mirage Gallery,Mirage, Nesher, IDF/AF Aircraft Reference,

Battle of el-Mansourah
Good article, but some really glaring mistakes in the IDF/AF Phantom captions. 69 isn’t “Haachat”, that 201, 69 is the “Patishim”, hammers. Also, 119 didn’t suffer great losses to Syrian SAMs on October 7, that was 201 again.

What engine upgrade? Finding pictures of Israeli Mirages and Neshers is easy enough, but I guess you’re looking for something specific.
And another. Of interest is the roundel, at the time Syrian aircraft still carried a triple-star roundel.
same incident
August 12 1968, two MiG-17 land by mistake in northern Israel. Whatever happened to the pilots?
August 27 1966, a MiG-17 shot down by IDF/AF Mirages.

BTW u shouldn’t be posting this pic, it’s an Airliners.net picture and I don’t see their copyrights logo on it so it must have been photoshopped by someone .
Quite right, here’s the original. Unfortunately, it’s apparently a Syrian Air bird, not an Air Force one.

yeah, and why does everybody insist on posting small white boxes with a small red x inside ? Oren I CAN’T WATCH YOUR PICTURES, please upload instead of just linking to .il sites .
It’s German, I don’t know why you can’t see it. The new ones are American, you should not having trouble seeing them either.

Syrian Super Frelons ? Never heard of such a thing, save from here : http://www.worldairforces.com/Countries/syria/syr.html .
Very hard to believe, I know the Iraqis had them, we certainly had them, I think I would have heard of Syrian SFs. Very suspicious, this is.
Excellent, excellent, thank you guys. Please, if you’ve got a URL from which the photos came, please post it. Some are Scramble.nl photos, but some I’ve never seen before.
