    Larry it’s a Bombardier Dash 8 Q402 (or Q400 for short).:D

    The Trident was built by Hawker Siddeley UK..

    What a beautiful plane! Trident Dash, what company is that?

    The aircraft belongs to Flybe….but is going on lease to Olympic Airways…..

    When scrapping an airliner the fuel tanks must be drained and vented,mind you when i was at Stanstead scrapping Trident 3B G-AWZU my mate thought the tanks were drained alas not……then up it went.The Stanstead fire service chaps came and put it out and said that they had been asking the management if they could burn it for years……in the end around a ton and a bit of alloy burnt.

    After going around on 23R, G-ECOI landed on 23L with fire trucks in attendance. Taxied in, no problem.

    I spoke to the skipper,he had a faulty landing gear indication (down locked) in the end it was a bulb at fault.
