April! Oh how common!
Society Weddings should be June. Traditions, like standards, are thrown out yet again.
Ah well, it’ll be worth watching. She’s fit.
Robin Hood 2010.
It’s actually well scripted and for the most part well acted.
Too many dodgy Irish accents and, of course – those landing craft.
Watchable, enjoyable….but not twice.

Chap at work is barmy on them, and the singist Jonsi.
I think they are “Sit down and enjoy the quality” rather than head-banging, foot-stompin, sweat-spreadin, thrashin.
I’ve just listened to some Alexisonfire. Grunge…..I can’t do grunge. Even though Turisas are a sort of “SingalongaGrunge” in some tracks. I like them, they are a good live band.

I remember th continuity announcers from my youth as well. I would prefer them to thannoying habit of advertising the next or upcoming programmes at the bottom of the screen whilst the current show is still going,or even the habit of shrinking the end credits to advertise the next show just as i want to see the cast list.:(
Bang on, that man!
I go back to the days of Diddy David Hamilton doing this on Granada TV in the 60’s.

Spare a thought for a poor 17year old lad who was quoted £5,750 insurance on a 1.0L VW Polo, with 0-60mph in 18.2secs, when your hitting your 112mphs 😡 🙁
That’s bludy outrageous.
18.2 seconds!

out of curiosity…at such gigs, what would you do once the sound is running smoothly (if it is)
LoL!! Yeah, I’ve seen them, looking busy with headphones, holding one side pretending to check something. 🙂
No, I know they earn their millions.
Notes change frequently, temperature of the geetars is just one of the things monitored I presume. There is rather a lot of stuff in the mixpit.

oz i am jealous of the fact you have saw daughtry and pendulum 🙁
im also successfully deaf after being right up front at the alexisonfire gig tonight 😀
Are you my Stalker?
I’m on the same sort of list as you. Plus Pendulum (Sonisphere this year).
Daughtry, excellent – although his new album is not as good as the first IMO.
RAMMSTEIN of course, the best live band ever, even better than the Irons or Early Alice. And it isn’t just for the pyros, the music is fantastic and Tills voice is incredible.
My list starts in 1973. I saw all the glam rock stuff, even Glitter! Even Osmonds and David Cassidy! Even David Essex (Actually he went off for 30 mins break and the session men laid into some rockin which was excellent!) Sheesh, the things you do to date chicks!
If one includes festivals then I must have seen 200+ bands. I even went to the Mandella concert for the music, I wasn’t bothered for the release of a bomb planting political terrorist.
Regrets not seen…The Who, T.Rex. Chicago. Queen, never really liked them but now he’s dead I’d wish I’d done it for the experience. Santana. Ian Dury.
Avoided….U2. They’ve never bettered Under a blood red sky. Coldplay, because they are utter rubbish.
I’ve also been to a few classics, The Halle doing the Planets for example. A few Ballets too, with Orchestra – not tape deck/CD. The Royal Marines band.
In 2011 I want to see David Byrne, having seen Talking Heads in 1982 it’s about time I saw this very underated singer/writer again. Hoping that Wall Street 2 has encouraged him to tour. Hope to See Ramm again, but I think they are in Sth America most of the year. Paramore, even though they are a bit of a popcorn band. May see the Irons but I can’t afford a ticket so close to Christmas – prolly sold out by now. Dead by Sunrise – Chester wotsisname from Linkin Park.
