Several years old now, but I enjoyed it.
Probably a very predictable ending and a simple story line…..I must have been in the right mood for it.

I think some people are mixing drinks here.
IMO: –
“Environment” can be / has been affected by Humans.
Global warming is definately happening but is nothing to do with human activity.
It is the latter point which is referenced when people rant on about gas guzzler cars and jet travel. They are talking out of their jet-pipe.

I didn’t say that SSTs actually caused holes in the Ozone, but that was the argument made by the US environmentalists.
As with many issues, they may have overstated their case in an attempt to get government and public support.
Ah, OK.
I just like to think they put their brains into going to the Moon and beyond instead. I do not go for the belief that the Brits (OK and the French dammit) did something that the Americans could not.

Old photographs.
Everything else I’ve binned can be replaced (With money).
Oh, and I’ve probably thrown away certain segments of my life.
As for the Freezer, hair dryer is a bit iffy Jim, if you had a lot of hair you could end up like Tina Turner in a wind tunnel. Drip drip drip ZAP
I have always used the steam wallpaper stripper, obviously with the electric bits well away (The tube from the boily bit to the steam head is 2.5 metres so it’s not hard). It takes minutes to create enough heat that the frost monsters fall off in big lumps.
Apart from the bit of ice in the drain plug, that takes a few cups of boiling water.

Looks fishey. Why would you be filming that aircraft just on the off-chance it might take flight?
Yes, and the blurb said it was tied down with ropes…….they aint no ropes on dat bird!
(Actually, this is not the first time a wind has lifted a Light a/c, and it looks like a security camera, so pot-luck they caught it)

Less people?
That means less tax! Formula no longer works.
The fact that those people may never work is not in the formula, Guvmints assume that work will be found as the economy grows. Yawn.
Yes, and the US enforced Cat.s on cars too.
Can’t agree on the SST comment unless you elaborate with facts.

How about the Johnny Rotten grafitti/images on the wall of the apartment used by the Sex Pistols?
I think it should be kept as a reminder of the social change within the music industry and society of 1977 /78.
I would pay a couple of quid to see it.

Aah, but Arthur….99% of the developing nations don’t give a flying ******* what they dump and where it ends up. And they are producing most of the dangerous waste too.
Yes, I recycle. We have at least 4 containers in the North passage at home. NOT because I think it will save the planet, but because I hope it will keep costs down. This may be a mistake.
Especially in the UK, which is 100% set up to rip-off the public on things like recycling, the prices will go up anyway. Just like the ABSOLUTEY GARBAGE light bulbs, they save energy at the expense of yer eyesight and, when the electric demand goes down…..the electric company will increase prices to recover the lost revenue. PLEASE do not believe they will balance the books by closing down a power station. That will be looked at as a seperate case and any extra saving will go on the bottom line as an addition. The punters will always pay!
However, I’m glad the UK and the civilised West has got it’s act together on the cleaning up of rivers etc……which all comes down to landfill run-off and dumping and cattle waste. It makes our environment better, but it won’t be enough to save the whole planet.
