Expensive, but one budgets to suit.
Stunningly beautiful, air so fresh that it cuts.
Clean, classy. Respectful people. No litter.
Good beer (OK it’s Lager but we can’t have it all), superb food and of course Chocolate…….sometimes stupidly expensive!!!! And I mean £10 EACH. Yes, I did say ten quid each. I’d want it melted onto Kylie Minogue for that.
    That’s the adults happily sorted.

For the kids? Not much at all.
No matter how much you tell the kids all the above, it’s not on their agenda for a holiday.
Personally, I pick (Try to (1)) my holidays for my kids, I’ll relax with their laughter and happiness.

(1). Last year, Northern France. BAD idea. Whilst I loved seeing the V2 factories, War museums etc. the nipper didn’t. And the agricultural backwardness of the whole area made it a dull place for the kids.
The drive to Disneyland didn’t improve matters, the two rides he wanted to go on were broken. Then it rained.
Up the Eifel was a good day though.

Well, as most couples will happily split as soon as it (Life/relations) get difficult, marriage makes no differerence these days.
There was a time when it did mean commitment, that you did work stuff out and learn from it. As it no longer means that, and people are prepared to walk away from a marriage as if it was just another relationship ending…..then one can see the point of not doing it.

However, Marriage shows both families that you are serious about each other, not like the hundreds of floozies from the past. It shows each other that this is different and special.
But, it has become a stupid race to make it very expensive. Tens of thousands of £ expensive FFS. If you do go for marriage, then spend as little as possible and use the money on a brilliant honeymoon and/or deposit for a home.
If you plan for kids, the most important thing EVER is that the parents remain as Mum and Dad. Married or not, and always preferably together.
And don’t do any of it until you are about 26 years old!! See the world, screw it all, live life while your body/bones and wallet can!
You may have also decided by then exactly what you want from another person and learnt not to settle for 2nd best because there’s nothing else around at the time.
Then have the kids before her body gets old and her alarm clock starts ringing 😉

I’ve on wife 3 child 6. This ones a keeper. In fact, it’s already broken the longevity record!

    Wonderful!
I notice you were on auto exposure and auto White Balance with various ISO settings. Was the camera on full auto programme mode?

There is a few missing from that picture list.
Hammerhead bolt for a start. It was an ordinary Bolt with a big lump on top for “Tupping”.
Joggled bolt too, for holes drilled straight, then crooked then straight again.

Very true, as an aquaintance put it the other day if you are not going to play to win where is the point in playing?

The film “Senna” shows that Senna took out Prost in order to stop Prost from finishing, thus making Senna the Champion for that year. “I am paid to win”. In this case, some say he “Won dirty”….but there was also the problem that Senna had a major issue with the Race organisers because the Pole position was actually off the racing line on the “Dirty” side of the track, forcing the Pole driver to cut across the track for the first bend. Senna did so and it took out Prost and himself.
Planned to win dirty? Making a statement to F1? Genuine race-line etiquette?

He was still the best driver that ever sat in a F1 car.
Watch the 14 minute top gear special, or on You tube there are plenty of vids, my favourite is “Senna overtakes”, showing a lot of his fantastic overtaking moves.

Fighting to stay on the track, when on the limit. In my opinion it must have been hard on the tyres, causing more corrections, causing more tyre wear etc. But he was Senna and I sit in my pants watching it on TV.
I think we all want to watch drivers like Senna and Hamilton but teams want Drivers like Prost and Button.

Warm up lap was nothing to do with it.
The car. Some people blamed Williams, “It was a crap car”. Well, OK, it was 2 years after the crash before it was perfect.
But, the evidence (OBC and other things) has proven that the car was in perfect working order at impact.
The problem was, as you know those cars were running 3mm off the ground – to get the faster air under the car and thus cause more downforce via the pressure difference.
His car “Touched bottom” (Sparks all over the shop) just before that bend, which means that there was no air under the car and downforce was lost. The reason it touched bottom was that just prior to that, there was an incident…causing the Pace car to come out. That keeps the cars moving but only at 100mph max. During this pace car period, 2 laps IIRC, the tyres cooled down and they can lose up to 25% of the pressure…this reduced the diameter by about 2 to 3mm. Not good. However, this begs the question as to why other cars didn’t spin off, they had same conditions. Well, that’s cos Ayrton drove the car permanently on the edge of the performance envelope, nobody else did….or could.
It was the wheel that killed him. The cockpit was in perfect shape after the crash, he could have walked away with whiplash……………but, the front wheel was sandwiched (For only a splitty split second) between his head and the wall, the car was still crumpling into the wall but his head could not go any further with it, thus breaking his neck.
As you know, wheels are now tethered to prevent them flying off the car at crashes, not entirely because of this incident – to stop them killing the crowd mainly.
