If the battery has run completely flat and still won’t charge after trying a hard reset all you need to do is contact TomTom support via their website.
The same thing happened to my Tomtom & once they had registered it as a return to base repair they sent out all the necessary packaging to return it safely & they repaired it and returned it to me free of charge.

    I reckon it’s battery.
After a full mains charge (24 hours solid), it loses 25% overnight WITHOUT being switched on!
Present owner can mend it, the battery is glued to the PCB I believe.

It’s a hard old world, and no mistake.
You don’t know whose back yard it might be in though, do you?

I think Arthur is suggesting he is one of the landed gentry which borders the Woodford site.

As for cruel World, Northern humour!

My back yard is also ruined by a large Brown envelope dished out to Council members. Money always wins and bent money wins most.
And, as I’m from Cheshire, my heart goes out to you. Fight the basads, because they will not give two ships about you.

PeeDee. A car is only as good as the driver, bad driver = bad car.

    Lincoln .7

This is true, but you don’t design a car for a “Bad” driver. You adjust it to his driving style of the weekend in question though. Which in some cases, is very bad!

This mornings race was a bit boring – mainly because the camera stayed too long on the leader, where no action takes place.

I like to watch the cars (I like cars), I like to see Money (One day I may have some) and of course the totty is amongst the best in the World!

I think of the Rule changes as mainly a good thing, it forces new research. And most of the best research and team skills are UK based!
I have a mate who is an aerodynamacist with Lotus. He’s ex BAE.
He works to higher tolerances on the car than on Mach 2 fighters.
A cubic mm of wasted air on the car is very important – if it’s not going in the engine intake (And that is designed to only allow what the engine actually needs), then it MUST be used to create a force (Down or side) on an aerofoil or brake cooling…otherwise it’s drag. And with pole positions often split by 0.01 of a second, that drag, no matter how small…is significant.
Obviously, the aeroplane doesn’t want drag either, but they don’t work to such fine tolerances.

    Missed that episode.
Where did the 2 fingered salute come from then?

Originaly I believe, from Agincourt. did I read somewhere you had a degree?. not in History, I bet.;):D
    Linc .7

    2 degrees.
You missed the point. I was taught Agincourt. Mr Fry says not, so I was asking the poster what Mr Fry’s answer was.

It has been pointed out that 3 fingers are used to draw a longbow.
If the 2 V fingers were hacked, the remaining 2 would not be able to draw a bow.

The expression F off was certainly around before WW2, but I’ve no idea when the V sign was tagged to it.

ESET is OK, AVG free is OK.
“Freeware”, they are often only 24 hours behind the master ware…….if at all behind. Stuff like AVG, they are trying to make you buy the product for the extra features, so the Free version is fine.
And, everybody in the World, that knows about PC, says ignore Norton and Mcafee for the reasons stated. I cannot speak for MAC, I’ve never owned nor (I think) used one. I have never heard a good word spoken about Norton – some people I know do use mcafee, simply because they bought it as part of a bundle.
Norton is also very hard to remove, as well as the “Remove software” lark, you have to find its roots in the Registry and/or find certain files in MS DOS in order to rid them.
I have a very expensive condom on my machine, Sophos Enterprise. But when I broke it, I quickly downed AVG Free as my backup.

    Agreed.
The Gulls round here chase the sky rats off.
And, it’s the Gulls not Dogs n Cats which raid the bustbins and rip them open.
