But the program which finds a so-called-problem likes to brag about it, and in this case, it’s Adobe.
I’m still not convinced it’s not unique to Av Forums yet. All my other forums have remained widescreen so the problem isn’t my end but as I said, AV forums seems to have changed back to narrow screen lately.

Is this a recent thing, because I have noticed that the Aviation Forum now displays in a format more akin to non wide screens. I’m looking at my widescreen now with at least 25% wasted space on each side of the forum page. 50% screen waste. It was widescreen up to last week.
So, the Flash player may be trying to resize every time you refresh a page.
Next time it happens, and you get the question box, hit “Print Screen” (There should be a button for it or it will be one of the F buttons…it should be written on the keyboard somewhere.
Then, go to Start/programs/accessories….and find “Paint”. Open paint, press Control & V together and the screen image will paste into the Paint. Save it as a bitmap and then use your normal method for getting a picture onto the forum.
Adobe flash player is usually quite inert. Maybe yo need to disable it from starting when the PC is switched on.
To do this (I know you are not techo, this is easy), go to Start/Run. Type msconfig and press OK. A box appears with 7 tabs – one of which is startup.
Go down the list and “Untick” all the adobe programs. Reboot the computer.
When it comes back on you will get a message saying configurations have changed, tick the box so as not to get the message again, keep calm and carry on.
    This should solve it.
You may want to look at the things that are starting with the PC anyway, every software maker thinks they are the Bees knees and you are “Bound” to want their program to run when you boot up. Frankly, you don’t! If you don’t recognise the things in Startup, then leave them alone for now.
For example, Skype defaults to start with Windows, but it is a CPU hogger and can slow the PC down. When I want skype I start it via the Desktop icon….I don’t want it running in the background if not being used.

I had the misfortune to have a sky-rat explode on my windscreen, trouble was, it jammed into the wiper arm and I had to look at it for several miles until next services.
When I parked up, several Crows had already spotted / smelt it, and were waiting nearby. I fed them.

Right on Q, I got this in an Email tonight.

A new supermarket opened near me.

It has an automatic water misting device to keep produce fresh. Just before it turns on, you hear the sound of distant thunder and the smell of fresh rain.

When you pass the dairy case, you hear cows moo, and you experience the scent of fresh cut hay.

In the meat department, there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks and brats.

In the liquor department, the fresh, clean, crisp smell of tapped Miller Lite.

When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle, and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying.

The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread and cookies.

I don’t buy toilet paper there any more.

    they haven’t underestimated thier market

the truth is they don’t care about loosing the 600 quid

thier marketers look at the lifetime value of the customer

ok they lost 600 quid in one case but worked on percentages and how many extra customers are lured in the losses are a drop in the ocean compared to thier possible gains

as big supermarkets strategies are to entice you there every week

even a shopper spending 30 quid a week will soon recoup the 600 quid

times that by the amount they brainwash to shop there every week

and it soon becomes a win win situation

tesco are not the size of company they are by having dumbasses run it

in fact they are very smart !!

the above info came from an asda area manager/trainer , hell they even employ top psychologists to monitor employee and shoppers behavior !!

don’t ever think for one second supermarkets even loose a penny !!

I know, I agree. I’ve got previous for marketing, it was a long stretch too.
But, lifetime value of the customer? That’s old hat. Loyalty changes daily.
Only the sheer snobbery of the Sains / Waitrose shoppers keep them returning. M&S shoppers return because of a perceived quality + good knickers and Crisps. Between Tesco and Asda is a blood war, shoppers will swap to whover is cheapest for that shop, and to get them to do “That shop” means taking a hit as per my OP. Me, I’m strictly Morrisons/Lidl and the local shops for some stuff, just to keep them open! There is a mahoosive Waitrose 500 yards from me, been in it once in the 6 months it opened. I looked at the prices and shuddered. I “Had” to go in, as they are now the only people selling Root Beer (Sains. stopped apparently – and that was the only product I bought at Sains.). Alas, the Root Beer in Waitrose is Australian stuff, the price of it covers the Air Fare and, it absolutely sh!te tasting too.

    Ta for that Mike.
I’m handing the unit back to the seller. “Mend it and I’ll buy it”.

I tried another TomTom in the car today, it charges. I tried that charger on the 920…no charge. I left the 920 on mains charge overnight – that made no difference either.

    Thanks gang.

I’m off-line until Friday night now, Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
