the Dutch 2 seat hunter flew from Leerwarden to St Athen today so thats probaly what you saw
sad to hear at the end of the article that BE505 is up for sale again – so its not even safe from being exported after all!
thats a bit ambitious! If it was a genuine 109 then that would be expected but considering a spitfire mk1 is about $(£?)3,000,000 then 6 million usd is pretty obsene. Dont think this one will be flying off the shelves (pun not intended)
The only post on twitter i can find about it is just asking for it to make an airshow appearance at shuttle worth, not saying its headed there:

Well surely its better to have it flying with the wrong engine than sitting in the hangar with no engine! Also i though TFC were planning to refit the centaurus eventually? Or am i just dreaming
Since La Ferte Alais last year
Last i heard they had tried to fly it back but it developed engine problems and landed near Paris, and was going to be dismantled and shipped back.
Fantastic. Can’t wait to see hunters again soon. Hopefully G-FFOX will be returning from Sweden(?) soon.
Thats a great shame, especially considering EP122 only did 1 airshow in its malta colours. I was really hoping it would do some more shows this year. Guess my RC 1/10 Ep122 will have to do
I believe that has been there for a while and they already had an airframe being worked on for it.
Velma is still owned by Anglia Aircraft Restorations, it just went off to Steve Hinton for repairs.
You would have to get a PPL, tailwheel rating, high performance complex rating and then the spitfire type rating. According to the internet its about 60k for the spitfire conversion from a standard ppl. Even then you would need to find someone who would let you fly their spitfire and get a display authorisation and a considerable amount of flight experience. Most display pilots are ex-military, or own their own aircraft.
Taxi run? Mosquito?
Its a great shame that frenesi is going back to the USA. Will Berlin Express follow?
P2902 G-ROBT. It returned to flight earlier this year and is owned by anglia aircraft restorations.
