I think its probably just because the twin seaters fly much more regularly than the single seaters. MJ627 for example seems to fly every other day from February to October, whereas the single seaters don’t get flown as much.
P9374 left for the US in April 2017.
According to its website Miss Demeanor is J-4104, not J-4101.
Regardless of his politics and the controveries outlined above I cannot help admire someone willing to give so much for his country. RIP
is KF183 (the ex boscombe down harvard) still at duxford? haven’t seen any photos of it for a while
having seen tbe f-35 yesterday at RIAT i wasn’t too surprised but i have to say the break and pull up was pretty daring! The BoB movie recreation was brilliant and the TFC sea fury and Air Leasing Buchons were good too see. I was underwhelmed by ‘Nellie’ but i imagine that was due to the need to integrate the display with that of the B-17. All in all a great show and easily a match for last year!
oops i meant D-FMGV. I have to say i whish they would give slightly more intersting schemes to their 109s sice they all seem to be similarly dull grey schemes!
Isn’t D-FMGZ the one that used to be G-AWHE?
The CR42 looks fantastic. I hope they put it on the flightline at legends
It looks pretty much the same as the windshield from G-LOSM
could be from a NF11
Considering we haven’t actually left the EU yet i doubt Brexit is a factor at all. I remember people saying similar things last year but that turned into a great show. Hopefully TFC will pull some exciting additions out of the bag over the next few weeks, even now we have the 2 new buchons, pl983, nellie, an f-35 and more so personally im really looking forwards to it.
How much activity has there been at Duxford since the show?
because the ‘Glacier Girl’ P-38 was supposed to be flying over with it but didn’t make it all the way. I believe it had a fault and turned back at Greenland
the 190s have flown at legends before and the 109G-12 didnt exist in its current state until 2016/2017 so i dont seen how you can say the CAA wouldnt let it fly pre shoreham. Also the reason they didn’t let it fly at Headcorn last year was due to changed regs around display authorisations which meant that the only pilt available to fly it didn’t have a valid DA.
