Ever thought of contacting Bombardier in Belfast? I’m sure there must be somone there who could tell you the quickest/safest way of taking it apart. Looks a good project, good luck.

On the subject of walking up Snowdon, I did it with my Dad when I was 11 (long time ago) and would recommend everyone to do it once in their life.
Anyone not ventured up to this part of the UK yet then do it there is so much on offer.
RAF Valley for mil flying, all of the Snowdon National Park to explore (jets flying over your head), great beaches (more jets flying over your head) and if your in to biking then we’ve got one hell of a coastal bike route, but watch out for the low flying jets again.
Oh and on the way back home stop off at Hawarden and watch the Beluga’s flying the Wings out of Airbus.
(site added to sell the place to anyone in the family not interested in aviation).

Visited there when I was an apprentice in 1970, they were building 748 fuse and wings at the time, great shame, another highly skilled UK work force lost forever.

My son ordered his 400d on Saturday from Tesco and received it this morning, i was not so fast and guess what the price has gone back up. Oh well just have to wait till they bring it back down again, mean while i’ll look forward to his results. Will post anything aviation wise he takes.

Excellent news hope it goes ahead. Just need someone to restore a runway or two there???? not as mad as it sounds, nothing is impossible.

Sales man spin or what! Lets hope everything as written comes to pass. Very easy to sell something, but alot harder to build and deliver on time and as described in the sales leaflet.

Was the Spit in question the same airframe that sat outside in the Overloon museum? —- as seen by me in 1969 with a birds nest in the tail!

Missed in the Mist
Stood on the bank of the River Dee this morning at Queensferry thinking i might get a shot of the BIG BIRD after she had done a pass over Airbus at Broughton, gave up after 45 minutes and as I was walking away,—- yes thats right it flew straight over where I’d been standing and turning flying parallel with the A55 towards Hawarden village.
T’was rather misty at the time so a clear shot would have been out of the question. This happened about 12..00 noon.

The paperback version is now available, got mine this morning from a very well known UK supermarket for the sum of £3.73 its No2 in their chart.
See this link http://www.tesco.com/books/chart/paperback.asp
Off work ill at the moment so should be able to read this and some of the other hundred odd books I’ve bought over the years and never got round to reading.
