When PZZ was ditched in the Channel, Robin D’Erlanger the pilot, was safely rescued without getting his feet wet, as the Turbulent happily floated. I have recently been told that the aircraft was also picked up by the same boat and was landed in Germany.
A while later Rollason’s were contacted by someone in Germany about see if plans were available to help in its rebuild. I have not been able to trace whether it ever flew again under a Germany registration.
Great post Turbi!. The only German Turbi’s I could find are D-EDHT, D-ESMB and D-ERBC which don’t immediately seem to have any relationship with ‘PZZ.

Bf 109F-1 ?? France CR ?? Ailes Anciennes Marseille – Escadrille Pegase Reported to be a cockpit section only. The organisation is to have been dissolved and the wreck moved to unknown place more NEWS? Reported in AM March 2002 to be under restoration to airworthiness by Paul Coggan.
Interesting registration that FATSO! Not clear whether you meant a ‘restoration by Paul Coggan’ or ‘reported by Paul Coggan’:confused: Slightly academic now as Paul has passed on.
So do BA use GSS to relocate their mounting pile of luggage?:D Sorry, cheap shot! I was surprised to learn that GSS employ a total of 80 pilots to operate three aircraft.
