Yes – eight Short Seafords built of which I understand seven were converted to Solents. But then there was a separate production run of 16 Short Solents. Still a good survival rate to have two preserved

Flypast Library, (remember our sponsor) record a total of 26 Seaford and Solents produced.

    Report from the rescuers. (2001)

Here is an interesting report on the rescue of the four airmen from the Indian Ocean and the problems that the aircraft had.

I’m not sure where the confusion comes from.

I think the confusion comes with the presence of the gun, the ‘conspiracists’ would like this to be involved in the cause of the accident.

I understand that the aircraft in question was Cessna 401 N401JN.

Interesting that the plane belongs to the owners of Jet Provost G-BWGF based at Blackpool.

Don’t know who’s or why though.

The plane is a private jet and belongs to David Tokoph. You will not find out what it is there for and I suggest you Google for a lot more information and disinformation on this character which I do not intend to repeat here.:D

Save you the trouble, here is a link:

Sad news that the expected winner of the bikes section , Marc Coma was hospitalized after a crash. Official Dakar page states that they employ 10 helicopters and 20 fixed wing aircraft.

Super shots of the 328JET, the way that wing is faired into the fuselage is beuatiful. Comparing the 328 with the 228 is like comparing chalk and cheese as far as beauty is concerned. Who is TF-NPA registered to as I could not trace it belonging to any airline and it is not painted?

Added: Realised I had not exhausted my sources, it is owned by City Star Airlines anad operated on behalf of Nordic Wings. It was previously D-BDXC and has visited Glasgow before as well as Aberdeen, Biggin Hill amd the City of London.

And I can find nothing about Shorts doing anything either.
Hopefully this story will sink faster than the fictional aircraft.:)

But, but, but it is on the internet in serious writing mode!:D 😀 😀
Pondskater should have added that he is a Shorts expert.:)

The fact that I have heard nothing since, leaves me to believe the idea failed. I was wondering if there was any work progressing on it away from the media glare.

Yes, there is. So far it has travelled the length of two football pitches.

The full size version is a U.K. black project.

    And NASA is interested!
