    If only I was! I have gaping holes in my knowledge and at best can only own up to having a keen interest!

    Checking the website again, they call it an Auster V (AOP.5 in brackets). As I understand the caption, the photo shows the prototype Mark V and it might be G-AFNW which might have belonged to Sir Lindsay Everard. The prototype, not the photo, is dated 24/4/39. :confused:

    If I am being a pedant, I don’t think it was ever known as the AOP5. It was an Auster V, used in the AOP role (as indeed was the Mark III and IV). The AOP designation didn’t appear until the AOP 6 and AOP 9. Happy to be told I am wrong. Looks suspiciously like Maurice Hammond’s Mark V. Y11F – can you confirm?

    Sorry cannot confirm its identitiy at present. The photo came from a German website and it was called an AOP.5, first time I had heard of it as well but then you’re the expert! 🙂

    Thank’s for finding that. Very good.

    I never knew that the Queen worked as a Public Announcer at the London Air Terminal 🙂 The voice was extremely plummy wasn’t it – but the diction was perfect.
    Oh yes, the Queen does voice overs, the secret’s out!
    I didn’t spot any Accountants though. That film was made very early in the 50s, almost ten years before the Accountant flew. There was some footage of the Armstrong Whitworth Apollo. Probably right! I wrote down Appollo first and then amended it to Accountant.

    But where is the Constellation doing the flyby? A pier with a swimming pool on it should be a good clue!

    Looks like a wind generator to me too, the black prop blades with yellow tips gave it away to me.

    Sit corrected, one wind generator it is! 😮

    Only thing I can see is the generator on the starboard wing, but then I’m getting old!

    We are all getting older, but to me that looks like a glass/plastic cover over something! And are you getting your left and right wings mixed up, I think the right wing is lifting? :p

    Believe this photo is an AOP.5, is that a camera on the wing? :confused:

    I think all they operate now is the following:

    A310-300
    A330-200
    A330-300

    So no I don’t really think they’ve renewed.

    That’s right. Three A330-200, one A330-300 and nine A310-300’s. Most were purchased from other airlines.
