All toilet waste is contained with in large containers and emptied when the aircraft is at the gate.

Indeed, for example on the B737 the container is on the left hand side in the aft cargo hold. But rest assure it is protected with quite thick walls, so your luggage won’t risk being… damaged… 😀

good to see a scandinavian noticed the meaning of my designs 🙂 Mission accomplished 😀

See folks, sometimes there is much more to a livery that nice colours and/or curves

Oh yes, but in this day and age of political correctness, things like these are frowned upon. I was taught in school that the fact that Sweden once was a superpower is nothing to be proud of – just like the Brindfors agency that persuaded MD Jan Carlzon and the other members of the SAS Politburo in 1982-83 that people around the world think of raping, pillaging and looting when they see the SAS dragon head logo and that a totally new identity was needed. Thus came the flagstripe livery which was presented to the world on 12 April 1983…

Well, BMused, that once again proves that many people in this business are idiots… The globe on the tail is genious, a small historical wink to the ancient Swedish globetrotting tradition from the viking days!

I have given up on the airline business in my country. They all look awful and it started with SAS in 1998 when the ‘epileptic lego’ livery was presented. And now they’ve forced AirBaltic to use a similar livery with different colours…

That is exactly what an Easyjet pilot told passengers on a recent flight as the plane flew over Liverpool at 35,000ft. http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,91059-13247714,00.html

Apparently some people failed to see the joke…

    Oh dear…

(Apologies if this has been done already, I couldn’t find anything on a search)

Can anyone explain the joke to an outsider? I’ve been to Liverpool but got away with my wallet safe! 😉

Here are some new acquisitions to my cabinets.

    1. TWA Boeing 717-231 by Herpa 1/500
    2. Alia Royal Jordanian Boeing 720B by Aeroclassics 1/400
    3. Pan Am 707-321 and US Navy E-6B TACAMO, Dragon 1/400
    4. TWA 727-231 by Gemini Jets 1/400
    5. American Airlines Boeing 707-123B by Revell 1/128
    6. another one of the AA 707

I built the AA 707 myself a few years ago but it’s been stacked away in a cupboard for a long time, so I’ll let it pass as ‘new’…
