    Yobs and Louts.

There is a new Government initiative for yobs and louts, that get in trouble with the police. They should be offered education and training, instead of just being locked up. How about identifying these no hopers at school, and putting them into special places of learning. Why wait until they start to cause trouble, and become a burden on society. Perhaps we should send these yobs and louts to public school, so future government politicians, get a feel of real life in Britain. Back in the sixties such children at risk were removed from problem families, and put into care. Why cant governments sort this problem out these days, seems they have lost control of the situation. Dear oh dear what a country to bring your kids up in.

    More green tax..

Another green tax should be put on cars parked on drives in front of homes, and in Garages. As some people are letting their drives be used as car parks, and making money from it.

The government should also get tough with families that own more than one car, they should be taxed according to the amount of pollution and congestion they create.

If we don’t stop the increase in car use, our health will also deteriorate, due to increased pollution and stress.

Also homes that have extensions added to increase their value, should be taxed accordingly.

All Pubs and nightclubs should pay towards a green tax, because cars are used by the people who go there.

More speed Cameras and speed traps are another way of green taxing, especially late at night, to catch those speeding motorists.

Another tax could be put on noisy motorbikes, especially the ones that make lots of noise at night, and early mornings. Quite a few of these motorcyclists speed, so they need nicking.

All taxies should be green taxed.

High income families should be taxed the most, as they cause most green pollution.

All takaway restaurants should pay a green tax, as these also encourage car use at night.

All that’s required now is to introduce alternative fuel cars ASAP, and get rid of those dirty old Diesel and Petrol Engines.

Once all this is introduced, GB will become a much more pleasant country to live in.

    More green taxes.

Manufacturers of motor vehicle engines should also have to pay a green tax, this would encourage them to produce cleaner engines.

All companies should be green taxed on the amount of company staff cars, that are parked in their car parks.

All industrial estates should be green taxed, vehicles visiting them should be charged to park during unloading/loading.

All shopping car park charges should be increased , to deter the motorist from using them. At present they are either free, or to cheap. I would consider charging motorists £25.00 to park for 1 hour.

When we have finally convinced the motorist not to use the car, a descent Public transport system can be introduced. Which people will use, thereby deterring the young vandals from wrecking them. The streets will become safer , as more ordinary folk are removed from their boxes of isolation.

Green taxes are also a good way to control the wastefulness of Capitalism.

I have been giving Green Taxes some serious thought over the last few days, and think they may be a good idea after all. These are the reasons why I think they are a good idea.

    1. Road pricing will deter many people from using their cars, which will alleviate a lot of congestion on the roads. They will seek other transport methods to get to where they need to go. Other Transport methods will become available in time, also bringing with it much needed jobs.

    2. Higher fuel prices will also help, if you make motoring more expensive, frivolous use of cars for short journeys will decrease. If not, increase fuel cost further still untill it has an effect. The current cost of motoring is to cheap, and something needs to be done to make it more expensive.

    3. Congestion charging is another good way to deter drivers, the current £8.00 in London is to cheap, and should be increased to £24.00. Congestion charging should be applied to all citys.

    4. Parking charges should be quadrupled, and parking bays shoud be reduced in number.

    5. Electricity should be made more expensive, and made cheaper for OAPs.

    6. Rubbish charges are a good idea, to protect the environment. If you create lots of rubbish you pay according to the amount you produce.

    7. Taxing homes on their lack of insulation is a great idea, as most homes are poorly insulated.

With these measures in place, Great Britain will lead the world, and will be the envy of many countries. Global warming will be slowed down, and we can all sleep peacefully in our beds at night, knowing we have saved the world. 😀

    GREAT BRITAIN and free speech.

The great thing about Great Britain, is you can excercise your freedom of speech. This is the best country in the world for that, and I am proud to be part of it. But freedom of speech musn’t be abused , for personal ambitions, such as Terrorism. A lot more people shoudn’t be afraid to talk frankly about matters that are important to them, and air their thoughts on Forums like this. It will be a bad day indeed, if this basic right is taken away from the people.
    LONG LIVE FREE SPEECH.

The original subject of the thread was the impact of H&S legislation although I don’t blame you for forgetting that, given that the thread has drifted on an almost tectonic scale. 😉

As to nuking London, witch hunts and civil war well – to be perfectly frank – you sound as though you’re rather looking forward to it, actually.

Heigh-ho, each to their own. It’d be a dull old world if we all held the same beliefs and opinions. 🙂

You know Grey area you talk a lot of sense at times. My thoughts do tend to drift at times, I am not a clever guy really, bit stupid you see. But I do enjoy a good discussion, and this is the place to have it. I certainly woudn’t like to see London nuked, why did you think that.?

I’m sorry roscoria but I think your going ott right now, if and it is very unlikely London was to be nuked at some point in the future the whole country is more likely to stick together and go after those who have nuked us not fall into civil war, however I think the chance of London being nuked is somewhat small.

Yes I guess your’e right, no sane person would contemplate doing such a thing. Please forgive me for even thinking it could happen, Roscoria goes over the top sometimes.

    So…….

Health and Safety legislation will result in London being blown up by a nuke.

    I see.

Well, it’s a point of view, I suppose.

Who said Health and safety, will result in London being blown up by a nuke? The fact is when eventually it happens, and I am sure it will, all that Human rights amd pc rubbish will be tossed aside, for a witch hunt retribution. They will be dark days for this country, and I woudn’t be surprised if civil war results because of this.
