I drive for a living because I have too, its part of my job. Why should I pay the price because our technology re Vans/ cars is rubbish. Surely the manufacturers should pay the price for producing poor technology. We need better Technology now, agreed, its long over due.
contrary too what you say re us oldies, the reverse is true, after 50 nobody wants too employ you because your’e too set in your ways. A younger person can be manipulated more easily too accept unfavourable terms of working practice. They can easily be hired and fired, thats what the real World is all about. You see there are 2 sides too everything… 🙂

No firstly i ain t a “freaking green ” i am simply someone who can look around them and see with the eyes god gave me what sort of a mess Nuclear energy has made of the world so far…and i am not talking about Chernobyl..
Here on the east coast of Ireland ,both NI & ROI, we have a nightmare called Sellafield hanging over us, and its been there for years, and we have unexplained high densities of cancers where they cant be explained , and we have had high densities of children born in a particular period in a particular area with serious birth defects and handicaps,
and this isnt some journalists attempt find a story…i live with its effects every day , i see it every time i walk through my home town.
Chernobyl was far from being the exception … its just that the other monumental ***LS UPS have been kept under wraps…This was after all something that occured in the USSR…GReat propoganda for the western alliance or what?
Agreed , nice too hear from you Hurrifan, looks like you have information I dont. I cant disagree on that one. I guess our Nuclear Technology due too its infancy may not be perfect, but can it be proven that the problems you have mentioned are caused by Nuclear Reactors. It may be other factors causing this. There are parts of G.B. where there are high cases of lukiemia amongst children, I dont think they are near Nuclear facilities. If I am wrong on that one let me know. Is there anyone out there who knows about the Doonray Nuclear power Station and any associated side effects.
Nuclear Technology is far from perfect and our scientists are trying too develop a Fusion reactor which I understand is far better, than we have now. However our technology isnt quite there yet.

The Acme corporation found 2 Dummies too test their products in a Cartoon series. What can possibly be wrong with that,after all most of its products proved too be failures. Even the exploding Piano, which you would have thought would be foolproof failed. Sorry but if your products dont work you go out of business.You have got too hand it too them though , for the sheer imagination involved…. 😀 😀

Ok Viper01 I can see your point, however if there is only so much money that can be spent towards this problem,surely it has to go towards defensive measures. You can see the effects happening now, so we need defences now. Defensive measures are very expensive, and even the defences we have now are inadequate.
I hope, really hope London dosn’t go like new Orleans did,. its a frightening thought….

Hydrogen power cells at this time are not cost effective,and must be developed in such a way as too make them safe for Mobile use. probably possible in the future.
Photo Voltaic cells could be used on roofs of Houses, however I am concerned about Strong Wind damage too this structure. A Hurricane force Wind may get under the gap between the Roof and Cells and remove either the cells or roof.
Dont forget wind turbines which are a good idea, you could have one installed at home. I believe the Government likes this idea. 🙂
