I think this aircraft must give us too much impression about PAK-FA.I’m not sure but this aircraft can be the PAK-FA’s preproduction model.

Sukhoy Company Begins Assembly of Fifth Generation Fighter Prototypes

The Komsomol’sk-on-Amur Yu.A. Gagarin Aviation Production Association (KnAAPO) which is included in the Sukhoy Holding Company, has begun assembly of the first prototypes of the future multirole fighter. The enterprise already has obtained the necessary engineering data from the Sukhoy OKB. When the prototypes are ready, the aircraft will have to go through all the necessary stages which are connected with preparing for the start of flight tests and which may begin in 2009. It is planned to establish series production of the airplane by 2015.

The fifth generation fighter will be able to resolve effectively combat missions regardless off the nature of the possible hostilities and to fulfill the assignments in the conditions of active enemy technical resistance. This airplane’s high combat effectiveness will be the result of its flight performance and ability to use precision weapons. The most modern engines and avionics will be installed on it.

The Komsomol’sk-on-Amur Yu.A. Gagarin Aviation Production Association (KnAAPO) is the largest manufacturer of Su brand airplanes and a leading production enterprise of the Sukhoy Aviation Holding Company. Built in 1934, the aircraft plant today is one of the largest enterprises of Russia’s Far East region, at which hundreds of civilian and thousands of combat airplanes of various purposes – from the first reconnaissance airplane to the Su family of modern fighters and lightweight amphibious airplanes have been produced.

KnAAPO produces Su-27, Su-30, Su-33 and Su-35 fighters, and also their modifications, is participating in the program for creation of the fifth generation combat air complex and is realizing the Sukhoy SuperJet-100 civil aircraft program.

I also changed my idea about different Russian and Indian designs.Every thing seems like it’s impossible without new funds .But at first stage India wasn’t volunteer about T-50 aircraft because of their different needs. But now everything seems like they will produce the aircraft at the same design but with different systems.

There are new news about PAK-FA

MOSCOW, December 12 (RIA Novosti) – Russia’s defense industry has started the construction of a prototype of a fifth-generation combat aircraft, the Air Force commander said Wednesday.

A Russian-Indian advanced multirole fighter is being developed by Sukhoi, which is part of Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), and India’s Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, under an intergovernmental agreement signed in October.

“At present, we have prepared detailed work design documentation for the fifth-generation aircraft,” Colonel General Alexander Zelin said. “The documentation has been passed to the manufacturer and it has begun the construction of the prototype.”

The new fighter aircraft, which will feature high maneuverability and stealth to ensure air superiority and precision in destroying ground and sea targets, will be built at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft-manufacturing plant in Russia’s Far East.

Flight tests of the fifth-generation fighter will begin as early as 2009 and mass production of the aircraft may start by 2015, the Sukhoi aircraft maker earlier said.

I hope we can see it at the nearest time.
