If you think A330crazy is posting to much and you do not like that you can do the following things who looks to me they are verry decent:
*Do not read the posts from A330crazy;
*Read them and do not talk or reply to that post;
*Leave the forum.

I think one key element of this forum is to post here your questions consirning the subject of the forum, flypast, AL,AFM, general. I personaly like it when I can please somebody with an awnser to a question. In fact I post some questions myself. You are refering to the fact that members should use search engines to look for the awnser to their questions, wat if they do not want to do that and want the info from their fellow forum members?

I personaly think you crossed a line over here, I think that discusions are always fair and everybody can say what he/she is thinking and yes mabey sometimes we or I do not agree with the person but that is wat a forum make’s a nice thing to vissed and read.

I do not know why you are doing this but the least thing you can do is to open an post in the General part with youre EXUSES to A330crazy!!

RE: Engines Again

I thimk you’re correct, the sun gear or as we call it an planet gear reduces rpm dramaticly in a small space or small amount of gears.
It is also used in helicoptes who uses turbine engines to reduce the engine rpm. Because the rotor rotates much slower than the engine RPM. This happens in the Maingearbox.

RE: The meaning of D-Day.

As far as I know the D in D-Day stands for Desision.
This was the day that the Allied forces of US, Britan comm. forces would land on the europeen mainland. This would be the long feared second front for the Germans (actualy three, they where fighting in Itali to) I do not know in wich way I have to place the word desision in the story due to my not so great knowledge of the English lanquage.
As mentioned earlyer it called operation Overlord and is later known as D-Day. The day that the desision was made to land at the beaches and destroy Germany. I do not think that the name was already pressent at 6 of juni 1944.
Maybe the name came from the fact that they delayed the invasion for one day due to bad weather and they taken the Desision to one day later. But i think this last theory is not treu.
