A transatlantic IFR flight

Hello all,

Just completed a flight from Newark Liberty (EWR) – my home airport Edinburgh (EDI). The flight was done IFR of corse, there is no achievement in VFR flying. Using the correct callsign of course Continental 36. Just the one screenshot of the 6 hr 15 minute flight.

About to vacate RWY 06 to be cleared to stand 2

Yes I just watched this on the news. I think it is a very unfair extra tax and its all about a move to what is being discussed in this thread:

Love the IB A340. That sure was a long flight, I can’t be bothered with those I fly al my airliners IFR with ATC bothering you all the time and getting a bit miffed if you don answer back. So therefore my longest flight has been Brize Norton AFB – Basrah a total of just over 5 hrs

If you had read the above you would have seen Excel and BA have stopped using BRS!

If you have been on BRS’ website you will find at least 10 airlines still operating ALL flights to BRS. Anyway EI are also cancelling flights.

What I dont understand is easyJet cancelling all flights but other airlines are continuing as normal. A runway is a runway either they all use it or they all cancel all flights to the airport. I mean there are still a lot of airlines flying into BRS which clearly know about the runway condition but think it safe to proceed.

Thank you for your answers that is another of life little mysteries solved. The plane just vacated and was offered the choice to go back to the gate or try a second time. The pilot opted to just try once more and they took off no problem so nothing serious im guessing.

Right all after a bit of debate on MSN I have been given instructions by heslop01 to tell a girls story and how she came to suicide:

Well it all goes back to my first ever girlfriend, lets call her Helen. Well we got on very well and we were dedicated to each other but over time cracks started to appear in the relationship and we started seeing less of each other. Finally the decision was taken to split up. A decision that none of us took lightly. Anyway I had been talking to heslop01 for some time and Helen got his addy. They kind of fell in love. Mainly as they both shared passion for animals. Well they had a relationship over MSN for 2 months even though 1 is in EDI other in NCL. One day a major event happened, wont go into it and Robbie dumped Helen. Helen was so upset that she well, took an overdose. Now the background no one knows, it is beleved she had many other problems facing her and she just gave in to those problems. So I hope this has given you an insight into a suicide story and please feel free to leave any comments.
